Chapter 18~

As soon as the tanned man introduced himself, I noticed Tyler stiffen up immediately. "Jeremy Kingsford," he mumbled quietly underneath his breath. God knows what this kid is thinking.

"So..." I began, cutting the awkward tension building up in the room. "Jeremy... What role are you playing?"

He winked playfully. "It's a secret."

"You little jerk," I laughed, jokingly punching his toned chest.

"Oh, what a surprise. You know eachother?" Asked Max Crystal, butting into our friendly reunion.

I opened my mouth to explain, but a nameless someone from the crowd answered for me.

"Mr. Crystal, you have no idea? Jessica Raymond and Jeremy Kingsford used to go out! It was all over the news when they broke up a couple years back!"

The middle aged man scratched his head, feeling a bit embarrassed. After an awkward laugh, he spoke. "Well... I don't keep up with the news, hee hee."

Hee hee?

Did this old man really just let out an extremely girly laugh just now? Talk about disturbing.

Jeremy turned to Max, and gave him a brotherly pat on the back. "Stop babbling, and finish introducing me properly, will ya?"

Was it my imagination, or do these two seem awfully close? I swear I'm sensing a hint of "bromance" in there somewhere...

"Well... we met by chance around a year ago, during work..." Began Tyler's father. "We talked and talked a little bit more, and it seemed that we had the same interests, so we became friends immediately. Later-"

"Dad!" Cut in Tyler, sounding annoyed. "Just get on with the introduction. Nobody needs to know about how you two met!"

"Oh, right..." The director caught himself, and gave us a sheepish smile. "So, uh... What do you guys want to know?"

I mentally facepalmed.

"Like what role he's playing?" I asked sarcastically, rolling my eyes.

Max Crystal looked at Kingsford, and grinned proudly. "Why don't you tell them yourself, Jeremy?" He nodded in response before stepping forward, and clearing his throat like a man.

"I'll be playing as Thomas's older brother, Carl." He smirked at Tyler, which made him flush pink.

Love at first sight?

Gosh, Tyler, never knew you swung that way. You should've just said so! Nobody's going to judge you for it! Who can blame you for having the hots for him? I mean, Jeremy is one hell of a smoking hot bastard.

"My brother?" Asked Tyler, raising both eyebrows. His face was full of amusement.

"Not just your brother, your love rival too." He spoke softly with his mesmerizingly deep and husky voice. Then, while flashing Tyler a superior smirk, he added, "I later fall in love with Spade, and takes her virginity."

The entire room went awfully silent. Everyone stopped what they were doing, and their wide, confused eyes, shot straight at Jeremy. Everyone was curious about what he had just said a moment back. All of a sudden, the mood had grown serious.

I let out an awkward cough. It was the only noticeable sound in the entire studio, but no one payed any attention to me, because their brains were locked onto a certain muscular, caramel dude, who was standing there, beaming proudly at us with gorgeously warm, chocolate eyes.
