Chapter 7~

"Jessica Raymond, is it true that you're lesbian?" asked one of the reporters. I let out a mental sigh. So many rumors about me...

Forcing an elegant smile, I calmly shook my head. "No I'm not."

Notes were being scribbled down, and more questions were being thrown at me.

Oh god.... Did I mention how much I dreaded interviews? I would have refused all of them, if it weren't for the fact that I agreed to the students that I would clarify "Caroline" was my cousin...

"How many guys have you dated so far?"

I let out a forced giggle that's supposingly "charming," as I prepared to answer the question. "I'm not sure about the exact number, but I'd say around... 15?"

"Are you currently dating anyone?"

"No, I'm single."

"Do you have anyone on your mind at the moment?"

"Unfortunately, I'd have to say no..."

I answered a couple more questions, before they finally asked the big question.

"Jessica Raymond." He cleared his throat before continuing. "So there is this rumor that has been circling around Winterfield Academy... I'd like to clarify that right now, with you tonight. Is it true, that you have a cousin named Caroline Smith that attends the school?"

Eyes were all focused on me, and there was this uneasy silence, as they all patiently waited for my answer.

I paused for a moment, before beaming brightly. "Yes, it is true," I said. "She's had poor health, so I didn't want any fans or something going up to her. It would be bad for her health. I was quite worried about that, so I kept it a secret. But it looks like she's all better now! You can't keep hiding it, I guess..."

Cameras flashed, and microphones were shoved in my face. Questions were being blurted out continuously. There were gasps and series of murmurs. They all seemed rather shocked, it seems.

However, instead of answering them, I calmy smiled and said, "Oh look at the time! I'm very sorry, but as much as I'd love to stay, I have a photoshoot starting in 15 minutes..." Which is an utter lie, because in reality, I just wanted an excuse to leave....

Parking my car in the garage, I stepped out, and headed towards the front entrance. As I entered the house, I immediately froze on the spot, as I found myself face to face with both my parents standing at the door, blocking the only way in. The look on their face told me it wasn't good news...

"Hey," I greeted, faking a smile.

When I only recieved silence as an answer from both my parents, I added hopefully, "May I go through?... Please?"

"Jessica Raymond!" Boomed my father's thunderous and threatening deep voice. I flinched, slightly startled by the sudden outburst.

"W-what?" I stuttered, immediately sensing fear.

"You know what." This time it was my mom. She had her arms crossed over her chest, and the look she gave me is enough to send a series of shivers down my spine. "So how did your interview go, huh? Well, I bet?"
