Actress in Disguise

Chapter 1

Chapter 1~

I stared into the mirror, admiring myself. I was wearing fake braces and large, round black glasses. For my eyes, I used colored contacts to change the original color to dark brown, matching my wig. I wore an oversized sweatshirt with loose baggy jeans, and black sneakers. I've applied makeup to create an illusion of dark bags beneath my eyes, and false wrinkles creased over my forehead, along with an unsightly greasiness, and large bright pink pimples. I added a few moles near my nose. I even attached fake overly puffy lips that appeared to be almost swollen like.

The disguise must be perfect.

I now look like a typical nerd stereotype in all Wattpad cliches.

I giggled to myself. "No one will ever know it's me."

I headed downstairs for breakfast, and laughed at my parents' reactions.

"Oh dear," gasped my mother. "Wow, Jess. They'll never be able to tell that it's you..."

My father nodded his head in agreement, as he looked me up and down. "Not bad..."

And skip to two hours later... Here I am, at school. And let me tell you, it's nothing like what I imagined...

"Ewww, is that the new kid?" I heard someone whisper as I passed them.

"She's so ugly!" said another. This was followed by a few giggles. I clutched my hand into a fist. 

Calm down Jessica, calm down.

Someone shoved me out of the way. "Watch it, nerd!" I bit down on my bottom lip. He was the one who ran into me. Not the other way around, so why the hell am I the one yelled at? Normally, I would've kneed him where the sun don't shine, but since I'm trying to keep my nerd cover, I held back and apologized.

As I continued through the hallway, there were a few snickers here and there, and occasionally, a few mean comments would be thrown.

"Gross! Look at that hair! Does she ever wash it? It's not even brushed." Ouch, that hurt...

"She's so fat." I scoffed at that comment. I spend hours each day working out at the gym and jogging, just to stay in shape... Take away this baggy sweatshirt and you can see my sparkling abs glowing under the light.

Oh yes, my beautiful abs.

And then, before I knew it, I was shoved really hard. My body tumbled backwards, and I landed on my bottom.

Ouch... I rubbed the sore spot as I glanced around, to find my books scattered everywhere...

Damn it.

Now I have to pick them up... I reached out my hand to gather up my books, but before I could, a squeaky clean Jordan's landed on my math textbook.

I looked up to see who it was and there, in front of me, stood a rather gorgeous guy... Caramel brown hair, crystal clear blue eyes... I examined his features carefully, and noticed that every part seemed perfect, from his jawline to his nose, and his eyebrows... He was like a sculpture come to life.

"Apologize for bumping into me, Nerd," he hissed at me.

The words quickly broke me out of my daydream. I was too busy being mesmerized by his outer appearence.

I snapped out of my thoughts quickly.

Where was I?

School....
