Written Review:

The book has a strong start. Considering the theme of the book, the plot moves at a steady pace. The main positive point is that the writing makes you get involved with the story very fast and you get connected to the characters and their story.

That aside, I felt the characters were written well. From not being attached to them while reading first, I got slowly interested in their life. The protagonist is portrayed excellently. She is anxious because of her past but willing to embrace the future. This was a plus point and also somewhat a conflicting one. As her actions land her in problems, it becomes obvious that the plot progressing towards the theme. And the warning about the content is truly helpful.

I admired how the author approached the topic of self-harm and abuse and wrote it. Considering the plot, I liked how the main characters were willing to get help and become their better selves. That's why sometimes their actions seemed a bit out of their character for me.

Maybe as the plot progresses, many of the questions will get answered.

The writer did a good job revealing bits of information and maintaining the suspense of some events. Plot-wise, I like the progress. It doesn't have abrupt changes, and the smooth flow makes you visualize and dive into reading neatly. There are so many cliches here, but the plot somehow doesn't deal with them and focuses on the fears and expectations of the protagonists.

The characters are written well. They have their flaws, and showing them is great. It's easy to empathize with them. Really good job at that.

This story has those real-life questions that are faced by so many people. Like how it becomes hard when you have to choose between love, family, and career. The choices, the pain, and the love were shown brilliantly. So, looking forward to how the writer will spin the story in the later chapters!

Overall, it was a great read. It is not a light-hearted one but a really interesting story.
