A really impactful story! It is a book that makes you want to dive into the world and keep exploring- the writing is comfortable to read.
The characters are well written as it is easy to feel their emotions and struggles. I found the main characters well-developed. Callista, who shows up as a strong woman, is my favorite. I loved reading what happened to her and how she emerged from her problems victorious. Even the antagonist is great. And the other characters are also memorable. Changes in POV sometimes interrupt the flow, but as the story progresses, reading what happens to other characters makes the reading experience more immersive.
I would like to know more about some flashback scenes. Other than that, I loved every aspect of the writing. The start is really strong and very intriguing. And I loved the details and hints in the plot. It's great to notice them when I think about the story.
This made me remember the book, Strange the Dreamer with The Golden Palace setting. And I'm very curious about how it will all end later. I liked how the writer maintained suspense in every chapter and how the next chapter started was also unexpected sometimes.I loved the writing and the plot!
