CHAPTER ONE: THE LETTERS

IT WAS A QUIET evening in the lupin house, Lily and Atlas was immersed in a book while Romulus was in the kitchen, cooking lunch. Steak and rice was menu for today—for their usual Sunday.

"Enjoying your books?" Romulus asked them, as he chosen books for them. He chose "The Shining" for Atlas, whom he liked to read horror books, and "The Tales of Beedle the Bard" he picked out for Lily who like to read good mysteries book about the three brothers.

The two nodded, Lily and Atlas was the quiet member of their small family, but usual they are super loud and chaotic when pulling pranks on their neighbors or their father. The twins are sometimes chaotic when they fight over something or when they disagree.

Reading or being mischievous was Lily and Atlas's solace, a realm where they could escape and be at peace, reading or doing something fun got rid of their thoughts or problems, it was their love, their passion, and of course, Romulus understood that; he had that love for passion, for having fun, being mischievous, having the spirit. He stills does till this day.

"Lily, Atlas, sunshine, honey, dinner!" Romulus yelled from the other room. The twins closed their books and stood up from their seats, and headed to the dining room. They gave each other a mischievous look.

"Whoever loses has to each other chores for week" Lily said with a slight smirk, Atlas smirk as he nodded. The two race to the dining room, Lily was ahead of Atlas until she tripped over something and fall face first. Atlas laughed as he continued running, but he did felt worried about her. Lily laughed as well and stood up, running after him, trying to catch up with him, but Atlas won. Atlas glasses almost fell off his face, with his hand, he fixed his glasses.

As the two sat at the table, Romulus placed down their plates. They were seated across from their father, they picked up their fork and knife as they began to eat. Romulus smiled at them, he was glad to be their father, he raised them good, but unfortunately there was a resemblance with their mother and them, their intelligent, they shared. But there was more that his children and their mother shared, something....dark.

But he knew his children were nothing like their mother and he made sure of it. Thud was heard. By the front door, there lay two letters with a symbol on it. Romulus stood up while swiping his mouth, he walked to the door, leaving Lily and Atlas curious. He grabbed the letters happily, as he walked to the dining room happily, handing the kids their letters.

"Lily, Atlas" Romulus said, with excitement in his eyes. "You got your Hogwarts letters!" He said with excitement.

The twins shared a excited look, as they opened the Hogwarts letters quickly, she read:

Romulus smiled happily as he watched his kids hugged each other excitedly.

"Can we go to diagon alley?" The twins asked in unison, they have been waiting to get their Hogwarts letters. Romulus smiled as he nodded.
