CHAPTER TWENTY: THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS AND SOME TOP SECRET RESOURCE

EVER SINCE EVERYONE SAW THE MESSAGE ON THE WALL, no one was focused in class or anywhere in fact, not even Atlas and Lily was, who would always pay attention but barely was now, when they trying find out any information about their mother and along with the message on the wall. They almost barely listened to McGonagall who was demonstrating turning animals into water goblets, when she asked Ron to do the same with his pet, Scabbers, into a goblet, his broken wand managed to do it but the only difference was Scabbers was turn into a goblet but his form of rat and stuff was still there, which caused the twins to laugh lightly.

But the twins kept letting their curiosity get to them, before the siblings could raise their hands, Hermione raised her hand.

"Yes, Miss Granger?" Professor McGonagall asked.

"Professor, I was wonder if you could tell us about...th—the chamber of secrets?" Hermione asked, Adrian lifted his head just barely, he had barely slept at all last night, he was worried about Draco but was curious about the message on the wall so he had did some research.

McGonagall hesitated, as she looked around at the students which were all curious and somewhat eager to learn anything about the infamous chamber of secrets. "Very well", McGonagall agreed. "Well, you know all, of course, that Hogwarts was founded in her a thousand years ago by greatest witches and wizards of the age. Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw, and Salazar Slytherin. Now, three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously, one did not".

"Three guesses who", Adrian whispered to Harry.

"Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts, he believed magical learning should be kept within all-magic families", McGonagall explained. Which everyone knew it was about pure-blood families.

"Unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school". McGonagall explained as she continued. "Now, according to legend, Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle known as the chamber of secrets. Well, shortly before departing, he sealed it, until time when his own true heir returned to the school. The heir alone he would be able to open the chamber and unleash the horror within and by so doing, purge the school of all those who, in Slytherins view, were unworthy to study magic".

"Muggle-borns", Hermione said, having a look of sadness but mostly worry.

McGonagall nodded, stating she was indeed correct. "Well, naturally, the school has been searched many times, no such chamber has been found."

"Professor?" Hermione asked curiously. "What exactly does legend tell us lies within the chamber?"

"The chamber is said to be home to something that only the heir of Slytherin can control, it is said to be home...of a monster", Professor McGonagall replied quickly. Lily saw Hermione and Draco exchanging glares at each other, before looking away from each other while Draco smirked smugly.
