How could I be so stupid? Who knows when I'm gonna see her again. She looked so familiar. It's almost as if I've seen her somewhere before. I started to rake around my brain and try to remember where I knew her from, but no luck.

"Good morning ladies and gentlemen, welcome to flight number AA8017 with non stop service to London, England." the pilots voice blared through the speakers of the plane as he was explaining the standard protocol with so much energy, like how? "Sit back, relax and enjoy your flight. Thank you for flying with us."

With that the captain finished his announcement and the flight attendant return back to the front of the plane as we were taking off. The thing I hate the most is takeoff. It stresses me out so much. That's the only reason I don't like flying.I decided to take my mind off the takeoff and listen to some music, when I received a message.

Maman 🩷

Have a safe flight,
we love you Lany ❤️

Me

I love you too ❤️

I replied to the message quickly and continued to listen to music. It took my mind off the takeoff and turbulence, but some other thing occupied my mind. Mystery girl.

She is so beautiful and perfect in some way. Not one hair looked out of place. She was just so bubbly and happy, showing her perfect pearly whites in the process. Her eyes sparkled, and her cheeks grew big when she smiled. You could see the smile reached her eyes. She's a little shorter than me, making me look down a little when talking to her.

I know I've seen her somewhere before, but I can't, for the life of me, remember where. I can't get her off my mind. Where was she going? Is she single? Is she thinking what I'm thinking? Probably not. Why am I even thinking about that? I'm straight. All of this is making me frustrated.

I grabbed my phone only to see that it was 6:30 in the morning, what a great time to be awake. I scrolled through tiktok until I started to yawn and my eyes grew heavy. Having not slept properly the night before, my body was screaming at me to sleep, and that was exactly what I was gonna do. With my earbuds still in, I got as comfortable as I could get and let sleep consume me.

I woke up after 4 hours or so. Just when the flight attendants were getting peoples meal orderes. One of the flight attendants came over to me and asked for my order. As she was walking away, I decided to look around for a bit and stand up to stretch out my legs.

Looking around, in the row next to mine, a little closer to the front of the plane, I saw a girl that looked a lot like the mystery girl from the airport. The girl had short hair, from what could see. She was talking to the flight attendant just like I was a few minutes ago. After the flight attendant left, the girl returned to watching her movie. Spiderman, nice, the girl has good taste.

The rest of the flight went by very slowly. By the end of the flight my legs were cramping so badly. When we landed, I made my way to collect my suitcase. The assistant that I talked to from Marvel told me that there would be a car that would take me to the hotel.

Roaming around the airport a little more, I saw a man in a suit that was holding my name card. He was a little older than me and very tall. He was very big, he must work out. "Good evening, you must be Miss Bennett." he said with a Britishaccent "Hi, yes I am." "Splendid, my name is Harrison and I will be your chauffeur for the duration of your stay." "Wait, why?" "It's standard protocol. The Studios value young talent and want them to be as safe as possible."

"Oh, um, okay. Well I got everything I need, so we can go if you'd like" "Of course Miss Bennett, let me take your bags." dang he was formal. "Oh please, call me Lana." "It's better if I call you Miss Bennett." "I insist, you're making me feel old" "If you insist Miss Lana." While we were talking, we made our way to an all black car with tinted windows.

Harrison opened the door to the backseat of the car for me to get in. I thanked him and he proceeded to close the door and put my suitcase into the trunk, before getting into the car himself. "How long have you worked as a dd?" "Four years now." "Wait, how old are you? You look really young" "I'm 23, Miss Lana" "Wow, I would have never guessed. Do you like the job?" "I do"

He's not very talkative. The rest of the drive was spent in silence as I didn't want to bother him even more. It was an inconvenience just that he needed to pick me up at drive me at midnight, let alone have someone asking him questions. London was very beautiful at this time of night. Light illuminated from the London Bridge as we were passing and it was mesmerizing.

After about 15 minutes, the came to a halt and we were in front of a big hotel. Harrison got out of the car and opened my door "We've arrived Miss Lana, let me get your suitcase out of the boot, and then we can go in and get you checked in." "Sounds good, thanks Harrison." "No need to thank me for everything I do, it's my job."

Harrison got my suitcase and we made our way towards the big double doors of the hotel. He held the door open for me continuing to hold the suitcase in his hand. I got to the front desk "Hi, my name is Lana Bennett, I have a reservation." "Good evening, Miss Bennett, let me check very quickly and than we get you situated. Till when will you be staying?" "I think it's August 3rd." "Ah, yes, here it is. You booked with Marvel Studios, why didn't you just say so? You will be staying in room 204, let me get your key and then I'll take you to your room." "Thank you, don't rush please, take your time." The receptionist smiled at me and turned around to find the key.

She turned around with the key in hand. "Here it is, if you would follow me, I will show you to your room." She started walking and I followed her through a few hallways before we reached my room. "We're here, if you need anything I will be at the front desk, just give us a call" I looked at the name card and saw that her name was Helen, so I could thank her properly. "Thank you so much Helen." "The pleasure is all mine, Miss Bennett. Have a good night." "You too."

Helen left through the same hallway we came through, and I was left with Harrison, still holding my suitcase, in the hallway. "Why are you still holding the suitcase? Can you put it down." "That's not necessary Miss Lana, it's standard protocol." "Okay". I unlocked the door and entered the room with Harrison on my tail. "You can put the suitcase down now." "As you wish. I will come in the morning to collect you for the audition. If you need anything else or if you plan on going anywhere, give me a call." He placed the suitcase down, gave me his phone number and made his way to the door. "Goodnight Miss Lana." "Goodnight Harrison."

I got up to lock the door and went to take a shower. After my shower, I plopped myself on the big king size bed. Unlocking my phone, I remembered that I needed to let my mom know that I arrived.

Me

Hey mom, just got to the hotel
I'm about to go to sleep.
Goodnight ❤️

After texting her, I scrolled through social media for a bit until my eyes felt heavy and I dozed off, hoping that the mystery girl blesses my dreams.
