DAY 3
I woke up extra early today to get ready for the day.
It was on the brim of dawn when I awoke- the sun still rising.
Thankfully Duncan's a heavy sleeper and didn't get up the entire time, so I had a full 4 hours all to myself.

Bridgette had planned a day at the pool- which I didn't exactly find the best use of our time (studying would be), but it might help me relax and keep my mind off The Kiss.

I haven't told anyone about it. Obviously.
As much as I'd love to rant about everything I did wrong to Bridgette, Heather and Gwen- they would just be proven right about my (minuscular) crush on Duncan and encourage me to get with him even more.

I walked out of the hotel room, and just as the door was about to close behind me, I heard an aggravating voice beside my ear instead.

"Leaving without me?" I looked at Duncan wearing sweatpants and a white V-neck- with daggers in my eyes and kept walking.

Not a bad look though. EW. Stop.

I frantically run towards the elevator, then enter it- panicking as I push the button millions of times in an attempt to close it, but to my demise- Duncan gets it just in time.
"Ugh." I sigh. I try to avoid his eyes- because I know they would just suck me back in.

"Going to the pool?" I nod, but I throw in a disgusted look when I catch him eyeing me.

"Stop eye-raping me, Duncan." I rol my eyes.
I figured this morning that if I was a complete bitch to him, everything would go back to normal.

But unfortunately, instead of a heated debate in response- his turquoise eyes just go straight to the floor and his puppy smile turns into a muted frown.
I am seriously evil. He's so cute. I mean in a pitying way. I don't like him. That much.

Finally- we reach the bottom floor and I walk out at a fast pace- in hopes that Duncan won't be able to catch up with me.

I spot Bridgette-who's already in the pool, blonde strands sticking to her face as she waves at me. The water's so clear and the pool is huge.
It's stretched out throughout the whole back of the hotel and loads of guests were usually here- but since it was a weekday, there weren't many.

I wave back and jog to the edge of the pool, checking for traces of certain Neanderthals.

"Hii!" Bridge laughs as Geoff ascended from underneath her.
I try not to gag in disgust of their corny PDA, but I fail.

"Don't be mean." she glares at me with green eyes but I ignore my best friend.
"Plus, I saw the green-haired guy following you. Huh, huhhh??" she punches my shoulder as if she's some kind of mind-reader and secretly witnessed The Kiss.
The other blonde slowly retreats, grabbing his hat as we enter the zone of strictly-girls-only talk.

"You mean that ogre? He's stalking me now." I exhale with anger in my voice.
"It is beyond obvious that you are reciprocating feelings for him. And have been for a while now!" Bridge rolls her eyes.

"I. Do. NOT!!" I say to her face, which is ironic since I kissed him. In the rain.
"Okay, at least come in the water before your pants light on fire." she giggles as she splashes water at me.
"Bridge, STOP! I just washed my hair! I'm here to sunbathe, strictly." I shake my head and lay on the chair.

"Boring bitch." she glares.
"Crazy hoe." I glare back.

...

I have a few minutes of alone time.
Extremely peaceful alone time.

Until Duncan interrupts it- therefore destroying the point of alone time.

"Nice bikini." I immediately jump up and give him a look, and quickly look for Bridge- but she's on the other side of the pool now, which is at least like ten metres away.

"You really are a perv." I glare at him and lay back down.
"You're the one who kissed me."
That makes me get up again.
"Keep your voice down!" I whisper-shout, covering his mouth with my hand.

"Sorry?" he raises an eyebrow, muffled voice from my hand.
"I said keep your. Voice. Down!!" I retreat my hand and wipe off his spit on my towel.

"Look, I barely get the whole 'we can't be together thing', but now I can't tell anyone?!" Duncan whisper-shouts back.

"Well, you wanna break the friend group up?" I quickly make up an excuse.
"Uhhh, sorry- how is this-us- exactly going to break up the friend group, Princess?" Duncan asks in confusion.

Before I can answer, he goes on.
"The whole friend group's dating anyways- or about to... uhh except Deej, but whatever! Why do you wanna keep it a secret, seriously?" he glares in suspicion.

"I am not discussing this with you." I say curtly as I get up and lift my chin up.
"Oh, yes you are." Duncan frowns angrily.
"I gotta know why you're doing this!"

I grab all of my belongings and start walking towards the elevator.

"We're not done here." I almost jump when I feel a large hand grab my wrist.
Gotta admit, he's got a strong grip.
And extremely veiny hands.
Not that I like that, or anything.

"Let me go this instant, Duncan." I furrow my eyebrows and exhale- trying to calm myself down.

"Not if you don't tell me why we can't be together." he tilts his head.

I exhale once more before I throw him over my shoulder, and to my surprise- also into the pool.

It all happened so fast- I didn't even process it.
Duncan resurfaced, green and black hair dripping water onto his face.
The look on his face was priceless, and I almost laughed at his glaring- but then it actually hit me that I just pushed the guy that I also previously rejected into a pool.
"OH MY GOD!!!" I scream and throw my hands to my mouth. "I'M SO SORRY!!" I shout in shock.

I immediately grab his arms, in an attempt to pull him out- but instead I feel a pull towards him and I realise how stupid I am.

"I SWEAR TO-" I shout as water-droplets splash around me. It's as if everything is in slow-motion.
The faint sound of me cursing, the infuriating smirk plastered on Duncan's face, his teal eyes that could make me forgive him in a heartbeat.

"I hate you so much." I'm fuming and glaring at the ogre.
Seeing his stupid face grinning makes me wanna rip it off and burn it.
I have never been more pissed off.

"I regret ever helping you!" I shout into his face- pointing an accusatory finger in it too.
"Then why help me in the first place?" he winks and smiles softly, which makes me even more outraged.

He pushes himself up on the edge of the pool, and I sneak a quick peek. Drops of water are falling down his abdomen and I even I can't pretend he's not hot.

Thank God he doesn't say anything when he gets up and briefly catches me looking. Duncan smiles sheepishly as he offers me a hand but I shoo it with a enraged look on my face and get up myself.

"Sorry?" he says but I ignore him and flip him off on the way to the elevator.

Being a complete bitch to Duncan doesn't sound so hard after all.
