"Fuck, this is all your fault Pin! Now I'm late for math again!"

I run alongside Pin, she's laughing at my reaction to being late. The sidewalk is covered by leaves of red and orange. It's a cloudy day. "Relax, Math Nerd," She teases. "It's not like math is going anywhere. You'll catch up when you get there. At least we had a fun night, right?"

I groan and roll my eyes. "True, last night was a blast and all. You ATE all the damn chips and saved me none you fat-ass!"

Pin laughs sarcastically. "Yeah, yeah, well it's not my fault I was hungry right?" She sighs. "But seriously, let's head inside. I don't want to get a detention on top of being late."

I nod, agreeing with her. "Right, let's go. Maybe we'll catch up on some damn gossip or something."

As we step into the school, I can't help but feel the weight of my academic responsibilities weighing on my shoulders.

"Ugh, school is so stupid sometimes. Sometimes I wake up and I'm so damn pumped to learn and do my damn homework but I'm not feeling it today." I groan.

Pin nods, a weary expression on her face. "I feel you, Leafy. School can be so fucking overwhelming sometimes. But we gotta push through and stay motivated, you know? It's important for our future."

I huff slightly, trying not to show just how fed up with school I am. "Yeah, yeah, I know. Speaking of homework, have you studied for the math assignment yet? It's due today, and I've still got a few damn problems left."

Pin groans. "Don't even mention it. I barely studied."

I raise an eyebrow. "Damn, that must suck. We're so damn late and we're just walking to class. Shouldn't we be damn running?"

Pin chuckles. "Well, running might make us feel a bit more urgent, but it's not going to fucking change the fact that we're late. Plus, I don't want to be all sweaty and gross by the time we get there," she replies, trying to see the bright side. "Better to just stroll in with style."

I grin mischievously. "Besides, maybe we can convince the teacher to give us an extension by flashing our charm and wit. I mean, who could resist two lovely ladies like us?"

Pin snorts, chuckling at my suggestion. "Right, because using our charm and wit has always worked in the past. I'm sure the teacher won't know what hit them."

I grin, undeterred. "Hey, a little positivity never hurt anyone. If we're gonna be late, we might as well own it with confidence."

With that, we continue strolling towards our class, ready to face whatever consequences await us.

As we slowly enter the classroom, all eyes turn towards us. The teacher stands at the front, his gaze disapproving.

"Late again, ladies? Go sit down" he says with a raised eyebrow.

I step forward confidently, flashing a charming smile. "Good morning, sir. We apologize for our tardiness. There was an unforeseen circumstance that delayed our commute." I try to sound as nerdy as I can.

Pin nods, adding, "Yeah, a little chaos on the streets threw us off our schedule. But we're here now and ready to learn."

The teacher glances between us both, his expression skeptical.

I look at the class and see Firey there. Ooh, that's the guy we gossiped about this weekend. A LOT this weekend.

As we pass by Firey's desk, I can't resist the urge to shoot him a sly grin. "Hey there, Firey, fancy seeing you here," I whisper, just loud enough for him to hear.

Pin joins in, a mischievous glimmer in her eyes. "Hope you're prepared for the math test today. It's gonna be a doozy."

Firey shoots us both a confused look, clearly unsure of what we're up to. I stifle a laugh, enjoying the way he squirms under our playful teasing. I can see him frowning.

When we were hanging out we decided to diss Firey for fun. So when we have math class we'll beat him at  the test and he'll complain to everyone how he didn't get first.

Pin told me one time he got fifth and he got so hella pissed. He started yapping to the teacher and complaining.

"Ladies, if you're done chatting, maybe we can start the class," The teacher suggests with a hint of annoyance in his voice.

I immediately turn to him, my innocent expression in place. "You're absolutely right, sir. We're ready to focus now. No more distractions for us."

Pin nods, joining in my act. "Absolutely. We won't let anything disrupt our learning."

We both know that's a damn lie.

Our teacher sighs, clearly not fully convinced by our sudden change in demeanor, but he reluctantly begins the lesson nevertheless.

As the class progressed, I couldn't help but steal occasional glances at Firey. He seemed focused on the teacher for the most part, but every so often, he'd sneak a glance in our direction. I could tell he was confused about our recent behavior.

I suppressed a giggle, knowing that he was none the wiser about our little game. It was entertaining to see him so oblivious to our scheme. Pin and I continued to pay attention to class, appearing fully attentive, while secretly playing our little mind game with Firey. Pin has a way of cheating into the school computers giving us answers to all the questions this quiz will be easy as fuck.

I lean slightly toward Pin and whisper, "Do you think Firey suspects anything?"

Pin smirks, her voice low so that only I can hear. "Who knows? But I bet he's starting to feel a little paranoid. We've really got him on his toes."

The thought of Firey fretting over our supposed newfound interest in math brings a mischievous smile to my lips.

"Let's see how long it takes for him to crack," I suggest, enjoying the mischievous banter between us.

As the class neared its end, the teacher wrapped up the lecture and announced a short quiz to reinforce the material discussed. We exchanged a quick glance, our plan already in place.

"Ready for this?" I whispered to Pin.

She grinned, her eyes gleaming with excitement. "Let's ace this thing. Firey can only wonder how two gossip queens suddenly turned math geniuses."

"Lets get top in the class. Usually he's always at the top but this time we'll beat him." Pin giggle.

I couldn't help but laugh at Pin's competitive spirit. "Alright, let's aim for the top then," I replied with a mischievous grin.

During the quiz, Pin and I worked together, exchanging occasional whispers and helping each other with answers. We also used Pin's cheats if we needed them badly. Despite our usual disinterest in math, we found ourselves strangely motivated to excel. It was all part of our game with Firey, and now we had a chance to prove ourselves in an unexpected way.

As the quiz ended, we both grinned, confident in our performance. We couldn't wait to see Firey's reaction.

I grin, feeling a mix of anticipation and mischief. "A week till the test results. A whole week of suspense. I wonder how Firey will handle it. I bet he'll drive himself crazy trying to figure that we got higher than him."

Pin chuckles, clearly enjoying the game we're playing. "Oh, I'm sure he'll be on edge the entire week. We'll make him question everything he thought he knew about us."

I laugh, the anticipation building. "It's gonna be epic. Just imagine the look on his face when the results are out. He won't know what hit him."

Pin smirks, leaning back in her seat. "Real. And the best part is, we'll act innocently surprised when we see our scores. It'll drive him crazy trying to figure out how we did it."

"Nah I think he'll go wild once he sees it. He'll be like 'how the fuck did you beat me!?' or something like that" I say.

Pin nods and smiles. "Real, that is so true." She giggles.

I lean back into my seat and chuckle.

Everything is going to plan.
