🚨🚨🚨
Louis sits in a room at the Doncaster Police Station, his expression betraying a sense of detachment. It had been years since he last occupied this space, a place steeped in memories he'd rather forget. The worn, familiar walls seemed to close in on him, bringing back a flood of unwanted recollections. Now, against his wishes, fate has returned him to this scene of past suffering. Yet, this time, there's a glimmer of hope, a hint that things might finally be looking up.
They had arrived promptly at the station as soon as the doors opened early this morning. Despite Garcia's suggestion for Harry to wait at home until more details were known, there was no stopping Louis who was determined to just be there.
A strong cup of coffee is placed in front of him, but Louis makes no move to acknowledge it. Garcia's concern is showing as she exchanges a worried glance with Harry, both apprehensive about Louis' state of mind.
“ Louis, are you sure you don't want us to send for a medic?”
Garcia's question might seem odd to some, but in reality, it's standard protocol for a police officer to inquire if someone in distress needs medical attention, especially when they appear to be in shock like Louis does. This ensures the person's well-being and addresses any immediate medical needs.
Louis remains still, his eyes fixated on the doorway, his expression unreadable. His gaze seems to search for something beyond the threshold, as if hoping to see someone walk through. Despite the commotion and movement around him, he doesn’t react, maintaining a statuesque silence. His hands rest on the table, fingers occasionally twitching, the only sign of the turmoil within him. The room buzzes with low conversations and the shuffle of paperwork, but Louis remains an island of stillness, his attention unwavering from the door.
"Harry?" Garcia prompts, glancing between Louis, the entrance, and back at Harry.
Harry offers a slight smile. "I think he's alright." he says softly. "Just give him a minute.”
Garcia tries to engage Louis in conversation, but it feels more like she's speaking directly to Harry as she explains the situation outside.
"The media is building up quite a scene out there." she begins. "Cars, vans, journalists, and locals are all congregating. News of the breakthrough in Saxon's case has spread like wildfire."
