Anne and Jay arrived at Louis’ house, their nervousness apparent in their every movement. Jay's hands shook slightly as she reached for the doorbell, and Anne kept smoothing down her skirt, a habit she had whenever she felt anxious. The door opened to Louis’ warm smile, and he welcomed them inside.

“Where is Saxon?” Jay asked almost immediately, her voice trembling with a mix of excitement and nerves.

“He’s upstairs.” Louis replied. Jay shook her head slightly, a bittersweet smile on her face.

“That sounds so strange to hear.” she said softly.

“I know.” Louis agreed, stepping forward to give her a hug. “How are you feeling?”

Jay took a deep breath, trying to steady herself. “So nervous, but so happy to see him again. I can’t believe this is finally happening.”

Anne stood nearby, her own emotions close to the surface. She glanced around the room, taking in the little details that showed how much care had gone into preparing for this moment.

“It’s been such a long time coming. I still find it strange that I have a grandson.” she said quietly.

Harry joined them, placing a reassuring hand on his mother’s shoulder.

“Mum, everything’s going to be fine. Saxon is a great kid. You’ll love him.”

Louis nodded in agreement.

“He’s a bit nervous, but he’s really looking forward to meeting you both. Just be yourselves.”

Anne took a deep breath, trying to calm her racing heart. “I’ve dreamed about this moment for so long. I just want it to go well.”

“It will.” Louis assured her. “He’s a little shy, but once he warms up, he’s wonderful.”

Upstairs, Saxon could be heard chatting with Delilah. Harry called up to him, his voice steady and warm.

“Saxon, it’s time. Are you ready, buddy?”

There was a brief pause and then the sounds of muffled footsteps and hushed voices filled the air. Then, Saxon appeared at the top of the stairs, his eyes wide with curiosity and apprehension. He looked down at the adults gathered below, his gaze lingering on the unfamiliar faces of Anne and Jay.

Anne took a step forward, her heart pounding. “Hello, Saxon.” she said softly, her voice betraying just a hint of a quiver. “I’m Anne, Harry’s mother. It’s so wonderful to finally meet you.”

Jay stepped up beside her, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. “And I’m Jay. We’ve been looking forward to this for so long.”

Saxon looked at them, his eyes wide and curious. He took a tentative step forward, then another, his small hands clutching the bannister for support. The room held its breath, the moment heavy with significance and the weight of long-awaited introductions.

Louis watched the scene unfold, feeling a mix of pride and protectiveness. He knew this was a big moment for Saxon, and he hoped it would go well. He moved to stand beside Harry, their shoulders touching in silent solidarity.

Jay couldn’t hold back her emotions any longer. She turned to Anne, her voice cracking with emotion. “I can’t believe this is finally happening, Anne. It’s... it’s a miracle.”

Anne nodded, tears streaming down her cheeks. “It truly is, Jay. It truly is.”

Saxon, sensing the gravity of the moment, took a few more steps down the stairs until he stood in front of them. He looked up at them with wide, curious eyes, his small frame seeming even smaller in the midst of such overwhelming emotions.
