can you do one of Katie getting injured in a game and she has to get stretched off from caitlin's pov - mcfoord4life

The Arsenal women's team had a late game against (Lets just say) Liverpool. Caitlin and Katie had gone out for breakfast together that morning and then went for a quick walk around town before going back to Katie's house to go to the game. When they arrived at the ground and started warming up, they both were in such a good mood due to the lovely morning they spent together. This had quickly changed for Katie once the game had started.

The girl Katie was on had been elbowing her the whole of the first half and barely left her alone. The only time Katie got a break from her was when Cloé Lacasse kicked a goal and the team went over to congratulate her. At half time, Caitlin had noticed Katie's mood had changed from how it was before the match and tried to check up on her.

"Hey you alright," She started when they were walking to their change rooms. "You seem annoyed."

Katie didn't look at her, she just kept walking with her head down. "Yeah I'm fine."

"Katie what's happened, why're you getting frustrated?"

"Nothing Cait, just the chick I'm on won't give me a second to breathe that's all." Katie said finally looking at her and tried to give her a smile.

Caitlin knew that the thing that frustrated Katie the most during a game was when a player would not leave her alone, she would never say anything to anyone else but Caitlin could tell that it could set Katie off at any moment.

"Well just show her a piece of your mind if she keeps going." Caitlin said trying to lighten the mood. Katie chuckled and then they took their seats in the change room.

After half time break, the girls came back on and about 10 minutes later Alessia Russo had shot a goal to bring Arsenal up by 2. Around the 70th minute, Vic Pelova had kicked the ball towards Katie's direction for her to run onto but as she was running, her player had somehow ran faster and was going to get to the ball before Katie did. In her mind Katie thought about what Caitlin had said and tried to challenge the girl by speeding up and put her body first to get the ball but what came just as quickly was an elbow to her ribs that used the other girls whole momentum. Katie went down immediately, landing on her knees and forearms and was clutching at her ribs.

The game had continued going because somehow the umpire didn't see what happened. So Caitlin didn't actually see what happened she just continued to follow the ball. When the whistle did come to indicate the stoppage of play, she instinctually looked for her girlfriend but when she saw that Katie was in fact on the floor clutching her ribs she immediately ran towards her.

"Katie," Caitlin kneeled down next to Katies face so that the cameras couldn't see her. "Katie what happened? Are you okay?"

Katie punched her hand against the ground, showing how much pain she was in. A few of the other girls came over to block Katie from the cameras and to make sure she was okay. It became clear quickly that Katie had been winded and was having trouble breathing along with the pain she was feeling in her ribs. The med team came on to assist Katie and move her so that she was lying down. Caitlin stayed by her head along with Vic and Kim who had come over. The other girls gathered in a huddle a few feet away from Katie.

Caitlin watched as Katie kept trying to breathe and try to talk but no words could come out. Tears were running down the sides of Katie's face and she kept her eyes glued shut. Caitlin hated seeing her like this but everything in her wanted to stay with her and make sure she was okay. Her hand involuntary reached for Katies shoulder, needing to touch her and stop her from squirming away from the medics that were trying to assess what was wrong. Katie's hand shot up to Caitlin's hand and squeezed it to show that she knew she was with her and appreciated it.

"Caitlin we need you to go, we're going to stretcher her off." One of the medics said.

"What?" Caitlin didn't really hear him, she was too engulfed in what was happening with Katie and studying her face. It didn't falter, her eyes remained shut tight and was distraught.

"Cait cmon, come join the huddle." Kim said and reached under Caitlin's arm to lift her up, to which Vic did too. They walked her over to the huddle but she barely took her eyes off of Katie. Not when they kept assessing her, not when she was rolled onto one side then the stretcher was put underneath her, not when she was lowered onto the stretcher, and not when she was stretchered off the field and into the club rooms. Caitlin was finally pulled out of her trance when Steph was subbed on and she came up to Caitlin to make sure she was okay.

"Jonas can get you a sub if you want." Steph said.

"No, no I'm fine. Let's just get this shit over with." Caitlin knew that she couldn't help Katie if she were to go off, she would only be doing it for selfish reasons, so she stayed on.

For the rest of the game Caitlin was somewhat solely focused on the match, but in the back of her mind she was looking for the bitch that fouled Katie. The chick had gotten a yellow card, which was ridiculous, she should've been given a red and sent off. At one point the player had the ball and was dribbling towards their goal and Caitlin was the closest player to her, she let her emotions get the best of her and sprinted towards her and made her land on her ass. Caitlin got a yellow card for it.

"Cmon, you got your hit in, leave it be now." Steph said to her as they were lining up for the free kick Caitlin gave the other team.

Caitlin ended up playing the whole 90 minutes because Jonas is a fucking idiot and doesn't know how to read his players. After the whistle blew Caitlin shook hands with the other team and waited patiently for the after game huddle to be finished and then rushed off to find Katie. She went to the medic room and found her on one of the beds.

"Katie, you alright?" She spoke softly.

Katie whipped her head towards Caitlin. "Hey Caityy." Katie sang slightly.

"She's on some medication to take the pain away." The medic said.

Caitlin giggled slightly. "That's alright, so what's wrong?" Caitlin said and moved to her girlfriend to stand by her side.

"She has significant bruising on her chest and a bit of swelling. We did an X-ray, it didn't show any breaks or fractures. I think she just got a very big knock to the ribs so she obviously needs to rest up and I think she should sit out next game and work on recovering then go back to normal next week."

"Alright amazing, thanks so much." Caitlin replied.

After an hour of Katie coming down from her little 'high', Caitlin and a few medics helped Katie stand up and walk her to her car. Caitlin drive them back home and nursed after Katie for the rest of the night.
