7. Like her

Avyaansh’s pov:-

Waking up, I was very happy as I’ll get to meet My Noor again today. Yesterday was a bliss. I could still not come out of the scene where she looked serene under the moonlight smiling. As I checked my phone, I saw a text from Ms. Ahuja, her assistant, where she informed about some paperwork for which we need to reach their office before the scheduled timing. Well it’s good, more time with my lady.

Texting my friends about the changes, I went towards the washroom to get ready. Later I went towards the dining area where my family was sitting. I need to tell them about Noor too I thought. But what about her, I mean yes I like her but it’s not like I love her. Do I love her?

I greeted my family and sat to have breakfast. “Avi, I think it’s high time you should settle.” Dadi sa said grabbing my attention. Not again!!! “Dadi sa l’m still not ready and l’ll definitely marry if l’ll find someone for me. Who is not only for me but also for this throne. It’s not just about your daughter in law but also the queen of the regime.” I said stating my point.

“Maa leave it, he’s turning old and old people tend not to understand logical points.” Dad said taunting me. I gave him a side eye while he just ignored me. Baap baap hota hai kya kar sakte hai. My siblings started laughing but soon stopped after noticing my glare. After finishing my breakfast and greeting everyone, l left for work i.e. Noor’s office. My friends will directly join me there.

As l pulled in the parking lot, l saw Neil and Rannvijay waiting for us. For some reason, l could tell Neil is cracking lame jokes and Rannvijay is seconds away from killing him. I went towards them and Neil literally jumped on me hugging me. Ekansh too joined us within few seconds and we went towards the reception area.

We were greeted with a booming loud voice of Noor. Why is she shouting and who the f*ck wants to die now? We looked at each other and decided to wait there itself not wanting to interfere but we could listen everything properly.

Well after listening to the whole thing Noor said we could confirm that the other girl must have said something to Ms. Malhotra. But Noor looked so hot when she was angry. She’s a tigress, MY TIGERESS, MY QUEEN.

I looked at my friends and saw Ekansh looking disturbed for some reason. Am I missing something? I thought to ask him but he’ll not say a word I know. Something happened with him last year due to which he has stopped telling us anything. He’ll be there when we need him but never let us be there for him.

Suddenly Noor came towards and asked us about our early visit. And this bastard Neil started flirting with her. He needs a lesson now. Soon we made our way towards the conference hall. I saw Noor tensed but she was masking it up so I asked her to go to her friends and not worry about us.

Entering in the room, I saw questioned eyes pointed at me. “You like her.” Rannvijay said. Wtf who told them. “Who?” I tried to play. “Chal bey bachpan se jaante hai. You care about none and asked her to visit her friends. Do we look like fools?” Ekansh said making me shut up.. “Okay fine yes l do like her. But it’s not a big deal.” I said not trying to sound like some whipped guy. “Then it’s fine. I heard she’s planning to get married to her long term boyfriend soon. But since it’s not serious, you’ll not end up getting heartbroken.” Neil said making me furious. “What are you even saying? I’ll fucking burn the world before seeing her with someone else. She is mine.” I roared and soon realised what Neil made me do. He lied to get my reaction. “Okay fine I like her a lot.” I said when I saw their raised eyebrows. After listening my answer they gave me a proud smile as if saying great choice. I was about to say something when Noor entered with her friends and soon they meeting started.

Throughout the meeting, Neil gave me teasing looks as if l was some teenage guy who was sitting next to his crush for the first time. Soon the meeting ended as it was the lunch time. We were about to leave when Neil said, “Guys why don’t you all join us for lunch. We were anyways heading towards some restaurant for lunch. You guys can join us, we’ll get to know each other better and it’ll be better as we have a long way ahead, I mean we’re gonna work together for a long time now. Right Avyaansh?” He has said something right after so long. My insides were asking me to beg her to join us but I just nodded coldly maintaining my rude image.

After a lot of no’s, if’s and but’s, they finally said yes.

“Miss, now that we are finally out of workspace don’t be formal. You guys can address us with our names.” Neil said when he heard them addressing us formally. They agreed but asked us to call them by their names too.
We sat in the private lounge area of restaurant.
