"जब से तेरे नैना मेरे नैनों से लागे रे
तब से दीवाना हुआ
सब से बेगाना हुआ
रब भी दीवाना लागे रे"Author’s pov:-
They sat in the private lounge area of the restaurant owned by Avyaansh.
It was a fun filled lunch with Noor’s and Anaya’s lame joke which made Ruhi facepalm herself but the guys adored the girls for their free spirited nature. Neil on the other hand became their joke partner in a jiffy. All three had same kind of sense of humour which was lame according to others but the trio didn’t gave a damn and continued with their jokes.
They were heading towards their cars, when Noor noticed Rannvijay standing alone and looked liked he was thinking something. “Aapko pata maine kahi suna tha ki agar tum khul kar ro nahi sakoge toh khul kar hasoge kaise.” Noor said making Rannvijay come out of his trance and look at the girl. He looked at her furrowing his brows giving her the signal to continue. “I mean I am not trying to interfere but I saw you weren’t laughing openheartedly when everyone else was. It felt like you are trying to control your emotions or maybe you aren’t able to actually feel them. Kuch hai jo aapko hasne se rokk raha hai and jab tak you’ll not accept it and let it out, khush kaise rahoge?” She said making him think for a second. She was right, there are few things troubling him to the core.
“Even Ekansh sir too. Aap dono ko dekh kar samajh aata ki khush nahi ho aap dono eyes says it all. Uss dukh ko apne andar rakhna matlab khud ko torture karna hi toh hua n. Toh why do that? You guys have your families who love you guys immensely, unhe kaisa lagta aap logo ko aise dekh kar? There are so many people out their jo basic needs ke liye bhi suffer karte but they never let their smile fade kyuki they are happy ki atleast they get to live, there are people jinki families nahi hoti vo taraste hai uss love ke liye aur aap dono ke pass vo hai toh aap dono dukhi hai. You guys should be happy and grateful ki agar cheezein kharab bhi hogyi toh aaplogo ki families hongi jo aapko support karengi. Maana life mein kuch cheezein humare hisab se nahi hoti but that doesn’t mean ki life khatam hogyi hai. Thik hojayegi, time heals but ye vo waqt hai n jo aaplog dukhi hokar guzar rah evo vapas nahi aayega. And I am saying all this because even though humari zyada baat nahi hui hai but I feel a different connection with you just like I would have felt with my elder brother.” She said a little angrily as if she was angry on him because of way he behaved but her tone softened at the end.
He fell into deep thinking after listening to her. He knew his family saw him sad but never thought about how they would have felt. He looked at her when she gave him a smile supporting him and moved towards her friends. He turned to leave when he saw Ekansh looking at him with sadness covering his eyes. He just moved towards him and gave his friend a hug. “Sahi hi toh keh rahi thi.” Ekansh said making Rannvijay nod at him.
Both went towards the area where others were standing. Noor looked at Rannvijay and nodded while the latter understood she meant that he should think about what she said. Noor looked at Avyaansh who was already looking at her like she’s the only source of light in his dark world. Well its true too, she makes him more happy than he has ever been. Avyaansh too looked at Noor and his eyes somewhat requested her to not go and spend some more time with him but that’s a different story, being with her all the time is what he wants.
As if understanding him too, Noor asked her friends to carry on with their works and that she’ll be leaving for some other work, saying this she looked at Avyaansh who took the hint.“So lets leave for our respective workplaces then.” Neil said making them all bid byes to each other. Everyone left in their cars. Avyaansh parked his car a little far away from the restaurant they were in and waited for Noor.
Noor’s pov:-
I drove in the direction where Mr. Rathore went and soon saw his car parked nearby. I felt all giddy in my stomach. I felt the same feeling of chori chori chupke chupke milne wali when I lied to my friends. But it all felt right, not jhoot bolna but being with him feels right. I parked my car behind his car in the public parking and went towards his car. Knocking on his side of window, I grabbed his attention. He too came out seeing me. We were just looking at each other. No words exchange but I could still feel the intensity, the spark, the connection between us. It felt good to be with him but why does it feel good, what is this feeling?
His eyes are as deep as ocean, as beautiful asj the sky, the longer I look into his eyes, the more I’ll drown in them. His eyelashes are so beautiful, so large, so dense even mine are not that beautiful. “Your eyeshashes….they are so beautiful, even I want eyelashes like your.” I suddenly said making such a romantic moment turn into a funny situation. He started chuckling after listening to what I said. I just pray to god he stays happy all his life no matter what he’s doing.
Avyaansh’s pov:-
We stood there, looking at each other, saying nothing. But it was the kind of nothing that meant everything. She was the kind of girl poets would write poems about, but for me she was not just a poem but a whole f*cking book. I would love to make her aware with the way I perceived her. There might be girls more beautiful than her, someone is better than the other in some way but she had that charm, that aura, that glow which makes her the most enchanting person. Even the stars fell for her, then how I couldn’t.
We both knew there nothing but something at the same time between us, we could feel it but we couldn’t express that. As much as I want possess her, I want to win her with the same intensity as well. People might call me king but I wanna show them that I am a king not because I inherited it but because I have queen with me.
“Your eyelashes….they are so beautiful, even I want eyelashes like yours.” She said making me come out of my trance. This was what I was talking about, a normal girl would have blushed with the intense eye contact but she, she chose to talk about my eyelashes. I started laughing at her words. I don’t know how but she always makes me laugh. My inner child who has been quite for sometime, who wanted to escape the darkness my world carried, is now laughing, is now happy. She’s his peace. She makes him happy. Kehte hai sachhe dil se jo maango, kainaat tumhe vo deti and I here wish nothing but her happiness. I’ll someday win her but by then the only thing I wish for is her happiness.
I looked at her and she was staring at me with adoration filled in her eyes, I realised our situation and controlled my laughter. “Ab kuch cheezein toh humare pass rehne dijiye jiski wajah se aapko hume dekhne ka dil kare. Kuch special nahi hoga toh dekhengi kya aap hum mein.” I said flirting. She blushed at first line. “Zaruri nahi khoobsurat cheezein humesha extraordinary ho. They didn’t lie when they said beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder. Pasand aane wali cheezein daag dhabbo ke sath bhi achhi lagti aur nahi pasand aane wali cheezein chaahe chaand apne sath le aaye pasand nhi aati.” She said intensely looking at my eyes as if indicating she’ll be with me despite all my flaws.
“My my Ms. Kapoor, aisi baatein karengi toh hume lagega aapko hum pasand aane lage hai.” I said reverting back. “Kyu aap pyaar karne jaise insaan nahi hai kya?” She said playing further. It’s okay Noor darling, two can play this game. I love the red hue on your cheeks and I promise, it’ll always be there till the time I exist. I would make you smile everytime you are near me, I promise. I’ll never the shine in these eyes fade.
“Don’t be in a hurry to love me. Don’t spill all your love on me so quickly, because the hurried love leaks through the fingers to the ground. They sweeten beyond we can bear and make us sick, craving a pinch of salt. So if you’re going to love me anyway, love me slowly. Love me in detail, in consistency, just a little bit everyday, and for the rest of our lives.” I said looking deep into her eyes.
