Cadet Corps Training Field, Wall Rose, Paradis
3RD POV
The rain was pouring hard in the forest of southern Wall Rose. With the coming of fall in the next month, rain had been hitting the area quite often, leading to a large buildup of mud. Much to the dismay of the 104th Cadets and the enjoyment of their instructors. The cadets are running down a mud path, while Commandant Shadis is seen riding next to them on horseback. Each cadet was carrying a large bag filled with their gear.
Shadis was making notes on each cadet, beginning their final evaluation as the final year of their training was getting close to finishing. He looked back to see a sole cadet falling behind.
Armin Arlert.
"You're too slow! Run, you shitheads!" He slowed down his horse to meet the pace of Armin. "What's wrong, Arlert? You're falling behind! Is it too hard for you?! Do you want to be the only one who puts down his equipment?!" He then sped back up, leaving the blonde recruit to fall behind further.
"Dammit!" He yelled, exhausted. A larger figure appeared next to him. "Give it to me!" Reiner grabs his bag. "You're going to end up getting kicked out this way! We're being graded on our training today!" He yelled at Armin, the rain making it difficult to hear them.
"But now they're going to punish you too!" Armin pled with Reiner who was set on helping Armin through the training. "Then do your best so they won't find out! Don't make me change my mind!" He then runs ahead slightly.
The exchange, however, was picked up by Shadis as he noted something down. 'Reiner Braun. He possesses great mental and physical fortitude. His comrades trust him deeply.'
Armin had caught up with the group in a newfound burst of energy, grabbing my bag from Reiner and catching up to the group. "I'd rather die than live a burden!"
'Armin Arlert. While he lacks in physical strength, he makes up for it with extraordinary academic aptitude.' Shadis noted as the group had arrived at their destination.
"Alright, cadets! Switch to ODM Gear and take out the Titans along your path!" The said recruits dropped their bags and began to fly through the forest, killing the titan dummies that had come across. Shadis looked towards a small group, seeing the blonde kill a titan with ease.
'Annie Leonhart. While her fighting skills are outstanding, she doesn't work well as a part of a team. A lone wolf.' He then looked at the taller male close to her. 'Bertholdt Hoover. He has extreme talent, but it's overshadowed by his lack of initiative.'
The third of their group split off, separating from the titan-killing machines he was with. 'Jean Kirstein. His ODM Gear control skills are top-class, some of the best I've seen. However his over blunt personality causes friction.'
Jean had completely missed that Shadiswas watching him, more focused on finding a titan dummy he could take down. "I can't fight like them. I need to find my own titan first!" He finally spotted a dummy in the distance. Another figure appears as he closes in on the titan. "Thanks, Jean! I knew following you would work!" A smile on Connies' face as he goes in to steal Jean's kill. But it's then stolen from him by a brunette. "I did it! Haha!" Sasha celebrated her stealing the kill.
'Sasha Blouse. She's talented at operating unconventionally, but that mentality makes her unfit for organized activity.' He looked to Connie who had a defeated look now. 'Connie Springer. He's skilled at making sharp turns, but his mind is nowhere near sharp enough.'
