"Come on Miller it's been hours open the bloody door," I moan as I slide down the wall onto the floor. Miller has kept me in here for what feels like hours, I tried sleeping to make the time pass but it was too uncomfortable. I have been begging him to open the door the whole time but he either doesn't reply or just tells me to shut up. "Can I at least get some food?" I ask as a last attempt. But still, no reply.

That was until the lock from the door clicked. Running towards it I see Miller poking his head up. "I don't want to do this, but it's your turn to talk to your family," he sighs not even bothering to look at me before he climbs down the ladder. Following him I'm about to walk out of the drop shop when he grabs my arm. "Just do the right thing and don't run away, ok?" He asks.

I just nod in reply as I walk out of the drop ship at a quicker pace than normal. From where the sun was in the sky I would say it was about mid-day, which means I missed half a day in that stupid drop ship. Trying to forget about it I approach the tent where the coms are, taking a deep breath I walk in and sit down on the stall.

"Elena copper?" A voice asks on the other end. Once the lens focuses I notice that it's not my father, instead it's the chancellor, Jaha. What the hell?

"I thought I was gonna talk with my dad?" I question suspiciously.

"Don't worry you will, I just wanted to ask you a few questions first, bearing in mind you are the youngest there we wanted to see how you adapted," he answers.

I just nod my head, confused as to why it would matter. "Good, well I just wanted to check how you're doing down there, is anyone looking out for you?" He asks acting concerned even though I know he's not.

"You know it's been great, I have broken my arm, been kidnapped by a grounder, been jumped multiple times by some girl and have watched my friends die," I reply with a sarcastic smirk printed on my face. "But I mean you probably wouldn't care about that would you, bearing in mind you're the one who sent us all down here, not even knowing if we'd survive."

I think he was a bit shocked at the outrage, but I'm sure he's heard worse from others. "Well thank you for that information, I can tell you'd like to talk to your father now so I'll put him on. But good luck down there," Jaha says keeping his cool the whole way through. The screen turned off as static danced around the screen.

It took a couple of minutes for the video to turn back on but once it was I noticed that it was placed in our living area in the ark. "Dad," I sigh under my breath, thankful to see him alive again. He looked bad, he never really looked like himself after Mum's death but this time he's changed. Dad's beard had grown out alongside his hair, and his eyes once full of hope and love seemed to be empty.

"Elena!" My dad called, I could tell he missed me. "Are you alright? Are you safe down there? What's it like?" He asked question after question barely letting me talk.

"Dad," I chuckle trying to get a space for me to talk. "It's great down here, you'd love it, mum would have as well. It's exactly like we imagined it when I was younger dad, it's perfect," I say, leaving out the bad parts to not worry him, he looks like he's got enough on his plate already.

"Really? They haven't told us much. All they've said is that you guys aren't alone, is that true?" He asked, I could concern forming across his face.

Trying my best to keep out the main details I explain to him about the grounders, and how they think we're at war. I left out the parts about being taken by Lincoln but I did include that Clarke and Finn are meeting with them as we speak. "Have they spoken about sending any ships down yet?" I ask.

The familiar grin reappears on my father's face again. "One is set to come down tomorrow and guess what-" my dad gets cut off mid-sentence by an odd voice, calling him dad.
