Yesterday, I went to bed quite early as my body needed rest, but once I was awakened, I realised something was wrong. Putting my shoes on as fast as I could my nostrils were filling up with smoke and all I could hear was shouting. Pushing the flap to the side I walked out of my tent and all I could see was our food shack lit up in flames. Oh shit.

"Well, now what the hell are we going to do? That was all the food." Octavia says from her position on the floor, her face looked ashy, maybe she was in there when the fire started.

Making my way over to Harper I ask "What the hell happened?"

"I think some of the boys had the flames up too high and the shack caught a light," she replied while rubbing her head "Do you know how long it took for us to get all that food, now we have nothing," Harper groans, I expect she's a hunter for food as otherwise she wouldn't be as wound up.

"It's okay, we can just hunt more, I can help," I reply trying to cheer her up. She just smiles at me before walking back to the tent.

After the crowd dispersed I took a closer look at the burnt shack. There were a few bones left around, all the meat got burnt off, and little fur balls mostly from the rabbits were still there. "Do you need any help?" I ask some of the boys who are lifting wood out of the way, hoping to find any food left.

All three of them looked at me and then at each other before laughing "Yeah no we're good thanks," one said as if it was common knowledge not to let me join in.

"I was just trying to help," I sighed, but before I could walk away a firm hand landed on my shoulder and started pushing me towards the dropship. Looking back I realise it was Bellamy "What are you doing?" I question still walking with him.

"If they don't want your help then you can help me," he says with a smug grin on his face.

I wasn't too happy to be helping Bellamy but at least he's letting me do something. Walking into the drop ship there are already quite a few kids in there. Bellamy then began to shout at the kids, with me standing right next to him "Each group tasked someone with a gun. And they're for killing grounders, not food. We don't have the ammo. Use the spears for hunting. Get what you can be back by nightfall. No one stays out after dark."

Realising what he said I asked, "Does that mean I get a gun!?"

"In what universe would you ever think you'd get a gun," Bellamy replied looking down at me "You at least still have that knife I gave you?" He asks.

"Oh yeah, about that, I think I lost it," I say remembering back to my first fight with Kate when he gave me a knife, the same knife I chucked at Murphy and landed right next to him into the tree. "Sorry,"

"You didn't 'lose' it, I took it from you the night I gave it to you," Bellamy answers wiping out the small hand-carved knife from his trousers and laying it out to me.

After taking it back and placing it in my boot I realise "Oh so you didn't trust me?"

"No, of course, I didn't trust a twelve-year-old with a knife," he replied quickly as he unattached the axe of his belt

"At least you got my age right," I say sighing and looking down at the handle wedged in my boot.

"Yeah," he answered with a smirk "but you gonna need something bigger if you're going hunting,"

Looking from my boot to him I smile before quickly spinning around to look what's left. Most of the big weapons were gone already but I found a perfect-sized one. It looked like a mix of a kitchen knife and a machete but either way, it's the perfect size. "So who's our group?" I ask still inspecting the blade.
