There Emmett was, back in the B.S.A.A facility but only now, he was forcefully dragged there by none other than Chris Redfield and his team. His brother wasn't anywhere to be seen but knowing the B.S.A.A, it'd be no time before he obtained the information and came storming in. Chris had barely any words to say to him, it was like he didn't even seen him as the man he was three years ago and he'd be correct, there was no resemblance anymore to those who held him up to such a high honor. Though in reality, he was never who they thought he was.

He sat locked up in a small integration room, pulling at the handcuffs endlessly trying to escape. It was all starting to set in now, everyone knew. He couldn't hide from the B.S.A.A or his brother anymore and the thought of that terrified him. It had been three years since he ever spoke to his brother, those moments flooding in again like it was yesterday. Emmett did not want to relive it all, he wanted to stay hidden.

The door suddenly opened, it was Felix. Emmett stopped messing with the chains, meeting his brother's gaze once more after so long. His brother sat in the chair across from him, somehow not looking amazed, that or he hid it effortlessly. Silence filled the room as the two stared at one another, not one making a singular move. It was almost like a competition, seeing who'd do something first. Maybe neither wanted this situation to be true.

"I always thought it was ironic, your death." Felix spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Yeah? How's that." Emmett asked, leaning forward to study him closer.

"What you said, then everything that came after." Felix explained. "Makes me wonder, were you working for him all along?" He asked, staring directly at Emmett.

"I didn't lie to you that day, did I?" Emmett stated, shrugging.

"You lied to us for years, you were out there." Felix frowned. "Answer the question Emmett." He ordered.

Marked Dead
—————————————

The day of Emmett's so called death was a busy one, the perfect day to stage your own death in his eyes. He'd thought about it for such a long time, ever since the Spencer mansion incident. He wasn't happy in S.T.A.R.S and he wasn't happy in the B.S.A.A, but with his brother around, he'd never be able to pursue anything else but that. The only way to solve it was make everyone think he died and what other day than one where they tracked down Albert Wesker?

Everything went normally as it could that day, Chris and Felix informed everyone else of their plan and that was it. Teams were sent out, Emmett even leading one where Felix and Chris led another. They had tracked Albert Wesker to a rural area out in the middle of nowhere, they were confident that this mission would go smoothly.

"Emmett, your team can flank from behind. Try and take him by surprise?" Felix explained, putting the last of his gear on.

"And yours attacks from the front." Emmett replied, looking over to him.

"No, I think we'll just sit back and let you do all the work." Felix stated, his face serious as ever.

"Funny, aren't you?" Emmett said, rolling his eyes.

"I'd never let you do something like that alone." Felix smirked ever so slightly, amused with himself. "Especially not this, it's time Wesker pays for what he did." He said, placing a hand on Emmett's shoulder.

"Yeah, he'll never see it coming." Emmett whispered, forcing a small smile.

"Stay focused out there Emmett, this is important." Felix reminded, letting go of him.

"I'm not going to die, promise." Emmett teased, putting his gloves on.

"I'm serious, Wesker had proven he'll do anything." Felix stated, motioning for his team to get ready.
