Owee a bug! She jumped scared as one flew into her face. She almost knocked herself out and fell into me but I caught her. "I fuckin hate bugs!" She explained as I helped her stand back laughing.
Shit you good! I laughed looking at her in her eyes.
Thank you! She said shyly. She dusted herself off a bit and fixed her hat. I picked her purse up from the ground and handed it to her. "Thanks!"

Uhhh...(I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I took it out and it was just a notification. My screensaver of my wife shined bright. I looked at it for a second. I bit the side of my lip as different thoughts came across my mind. A hall pass...)
I walked down the lit path and she held her hand out for me to take hers as we walked the rest of the way to the door. She unlocked it and we went in.
