Waking up on a boat is actually not as bad as Matthew first thought. Then again he has slept through various forms of transportation before so it wasn't really shocking

So sitting near the back of the boat and continuing practicing his drawing skill is what we see him hilariously doing mainly for how unhinged the characters faces and angles look.

He also already wrote down the entire plot and story layout of Gurren Lagann which wasn’t hard considering it was his favorite anime. However he knows it wouldn't work as a novel. He's dreading drawing his own variant of the manga. Even more so the anime.

However he knows if he wants to watch those shows he loved he will need to make them himself… he might kidnap an artist at some point because doing this by himself will take him years.

“Hey matthew. How big of a ship do you think we should get?” Luffy who suddenly appeared besides matthew looking over his shoulder asked.

“Ooo robots” luffy tried to take Matthew's drawing book only for the fat man to grab luffy arms “oi no touchy.”

Matthew thought on Luffy's question as Luffy kept trying to use his head to bite/grab the book however matthew kept moving it out of reach “I don't know about size but I guess a ship to hold at least 10 to 12 people. Doubt our crew will be massive”

Matthew was hoping they would still get merry. He was hoping to awaken the spirit early… and hopefully not damage it as much so they could not destroy it.

After seeing luffy not giving up matthew simply tossed him to nami ship making it bounce a bit

“Hey no throwing people on my boat!” Nami said after regaining balance which just made Matthew snort and stood up and stretched. After a really good satisfying pop he suddenly hears luffy “hey its the island!”

Once they pulled onto the island they all got off the boats, Zoro commented “good to be back on dry land again” while stretching.

Matthew walked past zoro while hiding two rifles on his back with his coat. Luffy asks while looking “there's a village somewhere around here right?

Nami pulled out a map from somewhere “Yeah. Looks like a small one though ”

“There's meat then! Meat there has got to be meat” he said with some very creepy drool

Matthew patted the childish captain on the shoulder “ah just chill luffy. With the money we picked up we should be able to get a good meal and hopefully a ship.”

While zoro let out an even louder yawn [God damn yawn complex that makes me fucking yawn while writing!] He suddenly turns serious while drawing his sword “be careful were being watched”

Luffy of course looked around excitingly “ Really where are they-” sudden a barrage of pellets kept being shot at luffy feet making him jump around.

Nami and matthew who were near luffy did different things. Nami ran while matthew stayed there because unlike Luffy he was wearing shoes. So the pellets while stinging a small bit on his feet weren't actually hurting much.

Flags galore began rising from the bushes on the island. All having cross n bones while the skulls resembled the scream mask. While looked goofy to matthew.

“Ooooh SO COOOL” luffy yelled while bouncing on his feet. Nani who was now on the ship commented “is this supposed to be time to be impressed?”

And suddenly.

A brown guy in dark brown overalls and a sash around his waist with a green bandana stood at the highest point and yelled “I am usopp, leader of the great pirates who rule this village! Your standing before a living legend! the most revered pirate who ever lived I am the great captain usopp!”
