| A Harsh Ultimatum

Draco's success with Unity House continued to grow, and the atmosphere at Hogwarts began to shift towards greater inclusivity and acceptance. However, the tension from his disownment still loomed over him, a constant reminder of the family he had lost.

One morning, as Draco was having breakfast with Harry, Hermione, and Ron in the Great Hall, a familiar, dreaded sound interrupted their conversation. A screeching owl descended, carrying another Howler. The envelope was unmistakably from Lucius Malfoy.

Draco's stomach churned as he took the Howler from the owl, knowing that it would soon explode with his father's venomous words. He hesitated for a moment before opening it.

The Howler erupted in Lucius's furious voice, echoing through the Great Hall and drawing the attention of everyone present.

"DRACO BLACK! HOW DARE YOU CONTINUE TO MEDDLE IN THE AFFAIRS OF THIS FAMILY! NARCISSA'S ACTIONS HAVE COME TO MY ATTENTION, AND I DEMAND THAT YOU CEASE ALL CONTACT WITH HER IMMEDIATELY. YOU ARE NO LONGER A MALFOY AND HAVE NO RIGHT TO ANY SUPPORT FROM THIS FAMILY. IF YOU CONTINUE TO INVOLVE YOURSELF WITH US. THERE WILL BE SEVERE CONSEQUENCES. YOU ARE DEAD TO US. DO NOT TEST MY RESOLVE!"

The Howler burst into flames, leaving a stunned silence in its wake. Draco's face was pale, his hands shaking. Harry immediately placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.

"Draco, we're here for you," Harry said softly, his voice filled with concern.

Hermione and Ron nodded in agreement, their faces reflecting the same determination to support their friend.

Draco took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "I knew this would happen eventually. My father's not one to let things slide."

Hermione looked sympathetic. "It's not fair, Draco. You deserve better."

Draco nodded, his resolve hardening. "I'm not going to let my father's threats dictate my life. I have people who care about me, and that's what matters."
