The next week, Giyuu found himself in an unusual predicament.

The Kakushi and Koto, who normally helped take care of Ren, were on a well-deserved break.

Giyuu had insisted on it himself, recognizing the hard work and dedication they had shown. This left him with no choice but to take Ren along to the Hashira meeting.

As Giyuu approached the meeting hall, he could feel the curious eyes of the other Demon Slayers on him and the child in his arms. Ren clung to him, wide-eyed but quiet, sensing the seriousness of the situation.

Inside the hall, the Hashira were already assembled. Mitsuri's face lit up with delight upon seeing Ren, while Shinobu gave Giyuu an understanding smile. Sanemi, Uzui, and Obanai, however, wore expressions of confusion and curiosity.

"What's this, Tomioka?" Uzui asked, his voice echoing in the spacious room. "You brought the child to the meeting?"

Giyuu nodded, trying to maintain his composure. "I had no other choice. The Kakushi's are on a break."

Ren, sensing the tension, buried his face in Giyuu's haori.

Mitsuri, unable to contain her excitement, approached them and gently ruffled Ren's hair. "Hello, Ren! It's nice to see you again."

Ren peeked out and gave a shy smile. "Hi.."

Shinobu stepped forward, her eyes twinkling with amusement. "Tomioka-san, it seems you've become quite the dedicated parent!."

Sanemi crossed his arms, a skeptical look on his face.
"Didn't expect to see a kid in our line of work."

Obanai, who had been silent, finally spoke up. "Isn't it dangerous to bring a child here?"

Before Giyuu could respond, the Master of the Demon Slayer Corps entered the hall. "Welcome, everyone. I see we have a special guest today," he said, his eyes landing on Ren.

Giyuu bowed his head in respect. "Yes, Master. This is my son, Ren. I apologize for bringing him here, but I had no other option."

The Master smiled kindly. "It's quite alright, Giyuu. Family is important. Now, let's proceed with the meeting."

Throughout the meeting, Ren sat quietly in Giyuu's lap, his wide eyes taking in everything around him. Giyuu kept a protective arm around him, his mind half on the discussions and half on his son.

After the meeting, the Hashira gathered around Giyuu, their curiosity getting the better of them. Mitsuri and Shinobu cooed over Ren, asking him questions and making him laugh.

Sanemi, though still skeptical, seemed to soften slightly as he observed Giyuu's interactions with Ren. "You seem different, Tomioka. More... human," he remarked gruffly.

Giyuu looked at him, a rare smile touching his lips. "I guess parenthood changes you," he said simply.

Uzui nodded, a hint of respect in his eyes. "Well, if you can handle being a parent and a Hashira, you've got my respect!"

...

Giyuu and Ren were about to leave the meeting hall, Ren suddenly wiggled out of Giyuu's grasp and ran towards Sanemi. Giyuu watched, slightly alarmed, but stayed back to see what his son would do.
