Giyuu moved carefully, extricating himself from the tangle of limbs without waking either Sanemi or Ren.

He couldn't help but smile at the sight of Ren sprawled out like a starfish, his small legs and arms draped over Sanemi.

Sanemi, surprisingly, remained undisturbed, his face peaceful in sleep despite Ren's leg resting on his cheek. Giyuu's heart swelled with a quiet joy as he watched them for a moment longer before slipping out of the room.

The morning was calm, the early sunlight casting a gentle glow over the estate. As Giyuu walked down the hall, he was greeted by a few Kakushi who were already up and about.

"Good morning, Tomioka-sama" they said, bowing respectfully.

Giyuu nodded in acknowledgment, his mind still lingering on the peaceful scene he'd left behind. He headed for the kitchen, knowing it was time to prepare breakfast.

As he entered, he found Koto and a few other Kakushi's already bustling about, preparing ingredients and setting up for the day.

"Good morning, Tomioka-sama" Koto greeted, her hands busy kneading dough. "Did you sleep well?"

"Good morning" Giyuu replied, giving her a small smile. "Yes, thank you. I can help with breakfast."

Koto nodded, motioning to a bowl of fresh vegetables. "Hai, We're making a hearty stew this morning."

Giyuu rolled up his sleeves and got to work, his movements practiced and efficient.

The kitchen was filled with the sounds of chopping, sizzling, and quiet conversation. The comforting routine of preparing food allowed Giyuu's mind to settle, the warmth of the kitchen a stark contrast to the chill of the early morning outside.

As he worked, Giyuu couldn't help but think back to the events of the previous night.

The intensity of his and Sanemi's connection, the way they had communicated without words, and the trust that had built between them. Despite the embarrassment that still tinged his cheeks, Giyuu felt a deep sense of contentment.

Koto noticed his distracted expression and smiled knowingly. "Something on your mind, Tomioka-sama?"

Giyuu looked up, slightly startled. "Just.. thinking about the day ahead," he said, not quite ready to share the personal details of his thoughts.

Koto nodded, not pressing further. "It's good to see you happy. The whole estate feels lighter when you're in good spirits."

Giyuu's smile widened a fraction. "Thank you, Koto. I'm grateful for all your hard work."

As they continued preparing breakfast, the kitchen filled with the rich aromas of cooking food. Giyuu felt a sense of belonging and peace, knowing that despite the challenges and the unexpected turns life had taken, he had finally found a place where he was truly at home.

...

Giyuu was setting up the table, placing bowls and plates with practiced ease when he heard footsteps approaching.

He turned to see Sanemi entering the kitchen, holding a sleepy Ren in one arm. The sight warmed his heart, seeing the gruff Wind Hashira carrying their child with such care.
