'I thought he would be asleep. A pity.' Kim rok soo thought to himself as he approach Cale.
Cake was still standing there motionless. This cause Kim rok soo to worry. "Cale is there something the matter?"
"I-" Cale don't even know what kind of excuse he should be making up. That he was searching for the book that led him to his downfall.
'Calm down Cale Henituse. It's fine. You're fine. It hasn't happen yet. You're still alive.'
"I was just bored. So, I was looking for something to read." Kim rok soo raise an eyebrow at Cale.
It was obvious Cale was lying. He has been acting strangely since the meeting this morning.
Cale, of all people should know that Alberu only keep business related books in his office.
And Kim rok soo know better than most that Cale hated politic and boring stuff. He was more into novels.
Did something happened? When Kim rok soo thought about it, the book that was apparently 'Alberu's diary' came into mind.
"I see, but you should've call someone if you were bored. We would've tole Ron to collect some novels from the palace library.
Cale frown at this. "Ron is not my servant anymore." Kim rok soo may seem stoic on the outside but currently he was panicking inside.
Shit. Did he just touch Cale’s sore spot again? Dumb. Dumb as hell. Great job Kim rok soo. You just went ahead an ruin it for yourself.
An awkward silent follow as both socially awkward bastards didn’t know how to keep a conversation going.
"Umm." 'What the fuck. Why is it so awkward! Say something you can't lose to this bastard!' Cale really hate losing to Kim rok soo in anyway.
Ever since he found that diary Cale has subconsciously and consciously been competing with Kim rok soo. Whether it be talking, eating, slesping or even walking.
He swear it was a bit childish of him but he can't help but watch to win over him. To prove that he is as worthy as him.
Meanwhile, 'Think of something to say, Kim rok soo. Cale is going to think you're boring.' Well he is but that's not the point.
Kim rok soo wasnt the one to say more than necessary. The exception being the children of course.
"I-" Both of them stare at each other for a bit before turning their head away immediately. "Ahem. I heard that you'll be leaving for Endable Kingdom?"
Cale can't lose. While Kim rok soo was glad Cale started the conversation. Normally Cale wouldn't ask for trival things.
He would do his part diligently without flaw and never meddle in other people's affairs.
Unlike Kim rok soo who would constantly make sure his people are fine, Cale has more of a 'They're adults they can fucking take care of themselves' mindset.
"Yeah. Duke Fredo came to the black castle with injuries all over." "Take care." Kim rok soo was stunned for a moment.
The moment he become unfrozen, Cale had already made his way to the bed. "Yeah." Kim rok soo smile as he turn to go out of the room.
