Cale stare back down at the paper. "Maybe I should've write something like, 'Engagement annulment' after all we aren't married yet to divorce."

Cale made up his mind and took another paper, while he crumble the current paper into a ball and throw it away. Literally throw it.

Then he started writing the engagement annulment papers. After he was finish he stuff it into his pockst and made his way out.

On the way out he bump into the one and only Ron. Cale thought he might be fine now that he made up his mind but his body subconsciously froze the moment he came face to face with Ron, one of his interrogator/torturer.

"Young master Cale? Are you ok?" Ron had a benign smile on his face. But the image of Ron with a cold smile was overlapping with the current one. The words he said were also overlapping with the past.

"Young master Cale? Are you ok?" Ron asked with a cold smile and mockery in his eyes as he looked down at the bloodied and tattered form of the once magnificent Cale.

"Young master?" Ron tried to reach out to his obviously pale ex-puppy but Cale avoided his touch like it was acid and step several feet back.

Ron could smell blood that coming from Cale’s plam by the owner grabbing them too hard.

Although Cale manage to keep most of his body control his hands were still shaking. Cale had to stab his own nails into his plam to keep himself from breaking down.

'Just a litttle more. After the war, everything will be fine.' Cale remind himself. "What are you doing here?"

Cale manage to get it out without shuttering. Ron still had a smile one his face while his eyes seem cold.

"Whatever do you mean?" "Aren't you uppose to be going with Kim rok soo now?" Ron eyes seeem to be geting colder.

Why is this puppy behaving this way. Even after they met again after Ron left him without a word, the worse Cale did was ignore his existence.

Well back then, it was not just him. After they met again, Cale would say what's necessary and sit quietly beside Alberu.

Like an obedient puppy that only bark when it need to. Otherwise they wouldn't even have a glimpse of Cale’s red hair.

Because he would stick by Alberu like glue. If not he would be back at the Henituse mansion.

However, it seem like this time he didn't even want to see his face and was pushing him away.

"I was just about to." "I see." That was all Cale said before he walk past Ron. It took Cale a lot of effort to do that.

After they were out of sight, Cale lean onto the wall and slide down. He burried his face in his knees and hug his knees.

"It's fine. I'm fine. It's fine. I'm fine. It's fine. I'm fine. It's fine. I'm fine." He repeated those words again and again.

For them who didn't have the memories of the past, it didn't happen but for Cale who came back from the dead, Cale can still feel the metal on his neck.

The slash of whip on his skin. The sticky hands on his body. The cold gazes. The insults. The accusations. The death wishes.

It was all still fresh. The wound are still bleeding. The scars have not faded yet. The tears have not dried.

Seeing them is like rubbing salt into his wounds. Those whispers are still resounding in his ears.

"I don't know what his highness sees in that trash."

'I don't know either.'

"I know. A hero like sir Kim rok soo fit him better."

'You're right.'
