"We will proceed with the first dispatch." Everybody turned toward Alberu after hearing his voice.
Alberu Crossman took the first step toward it. The small number of people on this team started to climb after him.
Cale raised his head and looked at the top of the temple. A blue orb was shining brightly.
The temple would first show the people who enter illusions based on sadness.
Cale was looking at the people who were climbing the steps, despite knowing that was the case.
Cale eyes lock onto Kim rok soo who was walking closely behind Alberu. Violan walked up next to him with a stiff expression on her face.
"Don't push yourself too hard." "I won't, mother. Time for me to go as well." Cale smile at Violan but somehow it gave Violan a sick feeling in her chest.
She didn't know if it was the intution of a mother but she can't help but want to reach out and hug Cale. And so she did.
"If it's too hard you can just come home Cale. It will always be your home." Cale subconsciously tighten his hold.
Home. It left a bitter taste in his mouth. 'Always'? Cale wanted to scoff. It was a lie. He knew too well.
But as always Cale did what he does best. Pretend. Putting on his happy face, he smile softly.
No matter how much he is suffocating. No matter how much he feels as if thousand and thousands of thorny vines were wrapping around him, Cale Henituse can smile as if the world was all funs and games.
After all he had been pretending for over 10 years what's a few minutes. Cale Henituse was a great actor.
He can be standing on buring lava or a bed of needles or a field of knives, Cale Henituse can put on a naive smile.
Put on a happy face, so your comrads will put down their guard. Put on a happy face, so your enemies can't tell your next move.
Acting is just like an Armour. If you openly show your expressions and feelings it will be like walking naked. You can bleed anytime.
So Cale will put on a mask and act as if everything is fine. He will act act until he lost his true self. Act until he doesn't even remember himself.
This is the best. The best for him. For his friends. For his family. For his enemies. For everyone.
Cale let go of his mother and took the first step onto the stairs of the glistening white temple.
The last person to put a foot on the steps. Was Cale Henituse. Nobody else climbed the steps behind him.
The chief executives nearby the steps. And the numerous eyes focusing on this area were watching the people climbing the steps.
The people on the steps did not look back. They only looked forward. They only focused on the temple.
Cale also look forward. Not at the temple but at the people walking in front of him. It was the Sam as the last time.
Rosalyn.
She had volunteered to be a part of this first dispatch team. The reason was simple.
'I am the human who is most skilled in magic. That means that I am also skilled in dealing with any unexpected situations. Furthermore, I have not walked an easy path.'
Rosalyn was someone who liked challenges, but she was not rash. In fact, she was extremely rational and collected as someone who researches magic. That was the reason she joined the first dispatch team.
