Dante Ferrari's POV

I just need a peaceful year this time. No trouble. I was sleeping soundly until a girl sat beside me. No one usually sits at the back in English class. Why would she? I dressed horribly today to avoid being recognized, yet here she is, disrupting my solitude.

She kept receiving messages and was half asleep during the professor's introduction. She's pretty, and her curly hair highlights her beauty even more. Curious, I glanced at her phone. The contact name was 'Ass kisser (-)'. Who the hell was that? And why would she name someone that? I saw the messages popping up:

Ass kisser:

Who the hell is that cute guy beside you, girl?!

You already got someone so soon?! How could you forget me so early?!

Don't you think it's too early for that?!

I guessed it was her ex-boyfriend, probably a recent breakup. But why is he calling me cute? Ew. I'm not gay. I had nothing in mind to say to her, so I decided to start with the basics—names. Hearing her say my name felt magnetic. Who the hell is she, and why am I so drawn to her?

I kept staring at her, but then my friends called me over. They sat beside me and started talking. She seemed uninterested in our conversation and soon fell asleep on her desk. A group of two guys and a girl walked toward her.

"Aw, look at her sleeping," a blonde guy said.

"Zip it," the black-haired guy warned.

"Aria," he called softly. She didn't respond.

"She didn't even reply to my messages," the curly-haired girl said, holding her phone.

"Watch it. Phones are personal," I warned.

"Huh?" the curly-haired girl said, confused, chewing gum.

"Don't you dare warn my sister," the black-haired guy glared at me.

"OH MY GOD! SHE SWORE ON HER CAT'S LIFE THAT SHE CHANGED MY CONTACT!" the curly-haired girl screamed, looking at her phone. The two guys laughed. Are they her friends?

Aria opened her eyes and looked around. "Hey, beautiful," the black-haired guy said, smiling at her.

"Hey, Alex," she said, rubbing her eyes. So his name is Alex.

"You promised and swore you would change the contact, you idiot!" the curly-haired girl yelled.

My friends and I were silent, watching them. "Luna, I said I MIGHT change it," Aria replied, laughing. She has a pretty smile.

"Alex!" she screamed as Alex grabbed her by the waist and flipped her over his shoulder, carrying her out of the room. She hung upside down, laughing.

I hope that guy isn't her boyfriend. She deserves better.
