Amelia's POV
Once Amelia and Sebastian made it back to the tent after spending twenty minutes searching for his wand in the lake, she had to take two more Wiggenwelds.
She had been through multiple trials and tribulations since first arriving at Hogwarts two years ago, but she was never as sore and exhausted as she was now.
Which says a lot.
She didn't want to take one, since it would heal the love bite Sebastian had given her, but after she struggled to walk back to the tent and he had to carry her inside, he insisted she take a few.
The only reason she resigned was because the pounding sensation in her head came back from knocking herself out a few hours prior.
They planned to go to sleep as soon as they changed into comfortable clothes, but after remembering why they were in that tent in the middle of the forest to begin with, they decided to stay up a bit longer to read through the mysterious journal.
Amelia's head was resting on Sebastian's lap as he sat on the couch and read through its contents after removing the enchantment, absentmindedly playing with her hair and flipping through pages with his thumb. She was snuggled up in his brown knit sweater that draped past her thighs. Basking in the warmth of the calming fireplace, she didn't bother to put on pants or shorts, leaving her green lace panties as the only thing covering her.
Sebastian only opted for his striped green pajama pants, which Amelia was more than happy about since she could admire his broad, freckled chest.
His chest hair gave him a very manly allure, along with the v-shaped cut that accentuated his Adonis belt.
He was ridiculously attractive, and this same man just professed his love to her before fucking the living daylights out of her.
She loved every second of it.
She'd known for a while that she was in love with him. She loved him when they were just friends, bonded by hardship, but it wasn't this kind.
This type of love was passionate, intimate, intense.
Beautiful.
It was something she had only read about from the storybooks in her sixth year whenever she took a break from researching. Valencia and Clive were never in love. The students from her muggle school were only about shagging one person and moving on to the next, including the ones at Hogwarts. Not even her parents had shown love towards each other that resembled anything like this.
At least, from what she can remember.
When she tried to think back on moments she witnessed them share together, all she could see was a cloudy haze.
She could only pick up a few glimpses where they showed some affection towards her, but Valencia was always considered the favorite.
It didn't take a genius to see that.
But when she tried to think of anything else prior to the age of nine or ten, it's as if her memories appeared mushed together.
It wasn't something that bothered her, though. Memories fade and change with age. As awful as it may be, it helps lessen the pain of losing her parents from her own destruction.
