Amelia's POV
Once she had Apparated herself to the front entrance of Hogwarts, she immediately felt the sharp pain in her ribs from where Harlow had kicked her. It was a bit difficult to breathe which made her worry that he kicked her so hard, he might've punctured a lung.
The dizziness from that and from Apparating back made her want to lay down right there on the stone walkway and just sleep.
But she wasn't going to do that in the pouring rain. She was soaked head to toe and covered in mud. She felt and probably looked awful.
The sun was already beginning to set, but the dark clouds in the sky made it seem as though the sun wasn't even out. She couldn't tell from how hard the rain was coming down on her.
She contemplated going to the Hospital Wing, but the looming feeling inside of her that Harlow could have Sebastian sent into Azkaban for what he had done in their fifth year made her footsteps take off towards the Quidditch pitch.
She couldn't hear the faint roars of the students anymore nor could she see anyone flying on their brooms, so the game must've already ended a bit ago.
She let her footsteps be her guide, slightly stumbling and gripping onto her ribs to fight back the pain that was wracking through her bones and lungs.
But while she made her way to the pitch, she noticed a small green blob in the distance that was running right towards her.
She slowed down her footsteps and squinted at the source, trying to get a clear view of who it could be as the rain blurred her vision and dripped down her eyelashes. Once they got close enough, she could make out the Slytherin Quidditch uniform and the faint wet brown locks bobbing up and down as he ran in her direction.
"Amelia!" Sebastian shouted from the distance, continuing his sprint.
She broke off into a light jog, still holding onto her rib cage as she met him halfway in the middle of the pouring rain.
Once he got close enough, he didn't hesitate to wrap his arms around her and pull her into a tight hug, making her cry out in pain.
He immediately pulled back and looked at her worriedly, "Amelia? What happened?"
"It was fucking Harlow again!" She shouted over the downpour, "He cursed your bludger, or it was one of the cloaked figures, I don't know-"
"One of them?" He furrows his eyebrows, "There were more?"
"Two of them," she winces and clutches her rib, "I couldn't figure out who they were, one of them was pulling their wand out on me when I Apparated out, I didn't want to risk anything like last ti-"
"Where are you hurt? Your stomach?" He removes her hand from her ribs and carefully pulls the hem of her soaked green sweater up until she's grabbing his wrist to stop him.
"Sebastian, what are you doing?!" She exclaims.
"I'm checking you!" He spoke loudly, "Let me see it."
"It's raining and I'm freezing."
"It'll be quick, I promise," he reassures her, going back to lifting up her sweater and folded it under her brassiere to keep it up. His eyes immediately widen when he comes face to face with a huge black and purple bruise that spread across her left rib cage. He brings his fingers up and presses down carefully on them, making her wince.
