Amelia's POV

She woke up to the sound of turning pages and the familiar ticking of a clock.

When did she fall asleep?

She slowly began to open her eyes, blinking the sleep away and sat up in her bed, complete confusion wracking her brain.

At her desk, she saw Sebastian sitting in the chair with his nose buried in one of his textbooks. He looked exhausted.

What the hell happened?

Last thing she remembered was that she was in Potions class and was leaning over her cauldron to inhale the Amortentia.

Everything else was a blank.

"Sebastian...?" She whispers in confusion.

He immediately shot his head up towards her and gave her a sly grin, "Sleep well?"

She gave him a confused glance before she looked up at the clock to check the time.

It was pretty late. When did she fall asleep? And why was Sebastian in her room?

"I... I'm so confused," she flusters.

"Oh, I bet you are," he closes his book, setting it on the desk and standing, "you gave me quite a difficult time earlier."

She raises her eyebrows at him, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"You don't remember?" He grins, making slow steady paces towards her until he's standing right next to her bed, "Allow me to refresh your memory. You forced me to partner up with Adelaide when I told you I didn't fancy her. Your Amortentia potion that you made with Garreth fucking Weasley exploded - to no one's surprise - then you pounce on him like an animal in heat and tried to shove your tongue down his fucking throat. I had to quite literally restrain you, all the while you clawed and bit me. Then Professor Sharp and I had to force you to take an antidote that knocked you out cold."

Her face immediately lost all color, wide eyed in complete and utter embarrassment.

Merlin, she wouldn't be surprised if that's all the school talked about this week.

He leans down to her height and looks at her with a smug grin, chuckling through his nose once, "There's the expression I wanted to see."

"But... But the potion was fine," she tried to justify, "it shouldn't have exploded."

"But it did," he reminds her.

"But why?" She asks.

"Are you really asking me that when your partner was the one guy who causes the most explosions in our year?" He furrowed his brows at her.

"It wasn't him!" She exclaims, "I was doing a lot of the work, I would've known if he put something in there that I didn't know about-"

"Oh please," he scoffs, "You turned around to look at me while your potion was nearly boiling over the cauldron."

"That doesn't explain it, Sebastian," she counters, "The potion was fine, I double checked it and everything. I think it was on purpose."

"Do you think Garreth did it on purpose?" He asks with a raised brow.

"No," she immediately answers, "No I don't think it was him, Garreth wouldn't make an explosion on purpose."

"Who do you think it was then?"

"Adelaide?" She blurts out, already regretting what she had said but tried to justify it, "She was nearly ready to hex me when she asked to partner up with you."
