Hard to Read

[You and Yui are left alone at the camp while the others seek other survivors.]

Yui pulled away from you to look at your face, her cheeks wet with tears. You stared at her wide eyed making sure to hide Dannys mask completely under you knee. She held your shoulders looking over you and you felt embarrassed.

"Which direction did he take off in?" She was sniffling and she wiped her nose.

"Yui...its...I'm fine, you came just in time before he did anything serious." You swallowed.

She looked at you, shocked. Her eyes trailed down your neck to your chest. "He cut you? Is that...is the letter D?" Her expression was appalled. "He really has lost his mind...Jake is right, he's worse than killers."

You looked at her, unsure of what to do. "He's gone now, let's get back to the campfire...please." You stood up putting your jeans and belt back on, carefull to keep Dannys mask balled in your fist. Yui watched you in disbelief as you seemed unbothered.

"How are you so calm!?" Her eyes were filling with tears again and you looked down at her reaching out a hand to lift her up. She took it, standing now.

"Look at me, im fine OK? I'm not scared of David anymore." You brought a hand up to her face and wiped her tears as you saw how much she genuinely cared for you. You took her hand leading back to the camp. "Come, let's go." And she followed behind your lead.

As you both finally reached the campfire Dwight and Jake stood up, Zarina shifting slightly on one of the logs. You saw everyone's expression was concerned and you lifted a hand up.

"Its fine. I'm fine. Everything's fine..." Jake eyed you, a mix of concern and confusion. Dwight sat back down shaking his head. "He really came over here to start nothing but trouble."

Yui reached down to grab the blanket that was folded over a log and she went to hand it to you. "No, I'm okay - thank you though." She smiled and nodded, sitting down on the same log.

You took a seat next to her and there was a long moment of silence before anyone spoke, the fire crackling loudly.

"We have got to do something about King." Jake said, staring into the flames. Yui also stared into the flames. "I agree..."

Zarina, Dwight and yourself all nodded in agreement.

You brought your hand up to where Danny had cut you and you lifted your shirt higher on your neck to cover it and you wondered if the cut would stay, considering he was on campgrounds.

"Zarina and I had discussed earlier, the possibility of making our way to other campsites to discuss with other survivors how to go about handling David. Perhaps if we could get as many on board as we can to keep an eye on him - he will he less likely to harm anyone else."

"To be honest, I'm not sure why we hadn't done it sooner." Zarina spoke, gazing at the flames.

"That could work well, I'd like to join you if you don't mind. It will be nice to see others who I havent seen in a while anyway."

Zarina and Dwight both nodded.

As the group continued to talk, you found yourself drifting away, their voices garbled.

Why can't we just get rid of him...You thought to yourself. Violent images flashed through your mind of you attacking David and you clenched your eyes shut.

You wondered if a survior has ever killed another survivor before. Yuis threat from when David attacked you returned to your mind and you wondered if she was serious. You had said it didn't matter because no one can truly die here, but maybe that only applied in trials.
