DING!

The generator you and Jeff were working on was complete and you both stood to your feet, Jeff wiping his palms on his jeans.

"Are you familiar with this realm?" Jeff whispered behind you as you both crouch walked your way down a long, dark hall lined with lockers.

"No...is this school a connecting square or are there dead ends?" You whispered back.

Jeff paused in the middle of the stairwell placing a finger on his lips. You turned around to see he was looking at the bottom of the landing, intently listening and watching.

DING!

You had successfully kept track of generators this trial, noting that was the fourth generator without seeing the killer yourself.

"Its gotta be a stealth killer. I saw Zarina wounded earlier, she was hiding, we must stay alert."

You nodded, your gut telling you it was the Ghostface. A survivor had been sacrificed from earlier, you knowing from the dark and ominous cloud that hovered above.

Just as you and Jeff began ascending the stairwell again, a blood curdling scream came from the other end of the hall.

"That's got to be Kate." Jeff whispered, his breathing heavy from the pain in his knee. "She may have been hooked, I'll go and check, okay?" He said and you placed a hand on the floor as you knelt.

Nodding, you swallowed hard. You squinted at the far end of the hall and goosebumps made their way up you neck. The space felt too confined and the hallways seemed to stretch forever.

Jeff turned, remaining crouched, and made his way against the wall down to the opposite end of the hall where the scream came from. You watched him get smaller and smaller as he approached the end of the hallway, him standing out below a singular dull light bulb.

Your mouth stayed slightly open as you watched Jeff turn the corner, dissapearing out of view. You turned your head to your side looking down the adjacent hallway.

Get me out of here...

A raspy scream could be heard down the hall and you knew immediately it was Jeff. You waited for any signs of movement as you stare down the hall where Jeff went out of view but there was none.

Groaning, you slowly got up from your knee and remained crouched as you followed his same path. You paused briefly from the sound of a successful sacrificial hook. Your footsteps quickened, their sound echoing down the hall.

When you reached the end, you saw blood which trailed into a room that you knew from earlier had multiple bookshelves and desks. Your heart pounded in your ears as you slowly followed the trail of blood, presumably Jeff's.

You came to a stop just right outside of the doorway to the classroom, straining your ears to muffled sounds. You heard a desk screech across the floor and a harsh grunt and cry.

"J...Jeff?" You whispered and you peeked your head into the classroom, lowering yourself to your knees again.

The sound of wet choking and squelching could be heard as you strained your neck to see passed a desk, and saw Jeff standing with his back towards you, facing the Ghostface. Jeff was completely still as he stood awkwardly on his good leg, him choking and coughing violently. You watched as the Ghostface stepped in closer to Jeff, placing his knife into his lower abdomen.
