"Landon?" A voice shattered the peace, and I dropped Wyatt's hand, looking around to see the source.
"Owen?" I asked, in shock, my heart pounding. Owen could tell Parker, which would probably be alright, but this wasn't how I'd envisioned it happening.
"Landon, what are you doing here?" Owen asked, looking a bit startled.
"Just walking," I said quietly, and because there was no point avoiding the topic. "With Wyatt."
He nodded, taking it all in. "Well, it looks like you both have had a good time."
"Um, yes." I nodded.
"Well I was just gonna have a pee, the line is way too long and I don't want to wait," Owen explained. "I won't tell Parker anything if that's what you want."
"If that's alright with you," I mumbled.
Owen smiled, "I'm his best friend, but I also know what is mine to say, and what isn't."
"Thank you," I said quickly.
"Yes, thanks," Wyatt added.
Owen started to come closer to us, and I took a step forward, in front of Wyatt. "I could pretend I didn't see anything, but that's not true, and we all know it. Landon, you're still the little brother I never had, nothing changes, ok?"
I nodded, and he continued. "I don't think there is anything wrong with what you guys are doing, in fact, you guys do look cute together."
"Um, thanks, I guess." I stammered. I knew Parker made his views very well known, but it still surprised me a bit for Owen to be so supportive.
"Are you Reed's cousin?" Owen asked Wyatt.
"Yes," Wyatt responded.
"Does he know?" Owen asked.
"Does he know I'm gay or does he know about us," Wyatt asked, gesturing between the two of us.
"The former," Owen responded. "Although I am interested in the latter."
"No, although he doesn't know about this either, as it really only happened today," Wyatt explained.
"I see. I won't tell him either." Owen promised.
"Thank you." Wyatt smiled gratefully.
"No problem, and I mean it." Owen smiled. "No you two should go back to the fair, I'll pee then come back. As far as anyone knows, we never saw each other."
We both nodded and started walking back towards the fairground.
"Fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck." I spat under my breath. "I didn't think we'd get caught that soon. I'm sorry."
"I think it'll be fine," Wyatt said, but his unease was obvious. "He said he wouldn't say anything. I don't think we have a reason not to trust him."
"It's not that. I trust him." I concurred. "We literally managed to get caught after how long? Fifteen minutes? We're lucky it was him, and not someone else."
"True." Wyatt agreed. "I guess we have to be more careful."
I nodded in agreeance. "Come on, we should go find my brother."
It didn't take us too long to find him, amongst his friends, waiting in line for a ride. Even though it was totally normal for two teenage boys to be walking together, anytime someone looked at me, it felt as though they knew, even though there was no way that could be the case.
"You're back," Parker said. I nodded in response as some of the other guys turned to look.
"Oh, hey Wyatt." Reed said, "I see you've met Landon."
