Chapter 34: Shopping and Teasing

The next weekend, Aashna and Virat planned a shopping trip together. They needed to pick out outfits for the engagement ceremony, and Aashna was eager to find something perfect. Virat, on the other hand, was just happy to spend the day with her.

They decided to meet at one of Delhi’s upscale malls. Aashna arrived first, waiting near the entrance. She wore a simple yet elegant dress, her hair flowing freely. She spotted Virat walking towards her, dressed in casual jeans and a T-shirt, looking effortlessly handsome.

"Hey," he greeted her with a warm smile. "Ready for a day of shopping?"

Aashna laughed. "As ready as I’ll ever be. I hope you’re prepared for some serious retail therapy."

They entered the mall, hand in hand. Their first stop was a high-end boutique known for its traditional Indian wear. The moment they stepped inside, they were greeted by a salesperson who immediately recognized Virat.

"Mr. Kohli! It’s an honor to have you here. How can we assist you today?"

Virat smiled politely. "We’re here to find some outfits for our engagement ceremony."

The salesperson’s eyes lit up. "Congratulations! We have a wonderful collection. Please, follow me."

They were led to a section filled with beautiful lehengas, sarees, and sherwanis. Aashna’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she began browsing through the racks.

"Look at this one, Virat!" she exclaimed, holding up a stunning red lehenga with intricate gold embroidery.

Virat nodded appreciatively. "It’s beautiful. Try it on."

Aashna disappeared into the fitting room while Virat waited outside, checking his phone. He sent a quick message to Rohit, updating him on their progress.

**Virat:** "Shopping with Aashna. This is going to be a long day."

Rohit replied almost instantly.

**Rohit:** "Hang in there, captain. It’ll be worth it. Plus, you get to see her in those amazing outfits."

Virat chuckled, putting his phone away just as Aashna stepped out of the fitting room. She looked breathtaking in the red lehenga, the color complementing her complexion perfectly.

"What do you think?" she asked, twirling around.

Virat’s jaw dropped slightly. "You look stunning, Aashna. Absolutely perfect."

She blushed, pleased with his reaction. "I think this might be the one."

They continued shopping, picking out a sherwani for Virat that matched Aashna’s lehenga. Throughout the process, they laughed and joked, enjoying each other’s company.

At one point, they found themselves in the accessories section, looking at jewelry. Aashna tried on a delicate necklace, and Virat couldn’t resist teasing her.

"You know, Aashna, you look like a princess. Maybe we should have a royal-themed wedding," he said with a mischievous grin.

Aashna playfully swatted his arm. "Oh, stop it! We’re not going overboard."

Virat laughed. "I’m just kidding. But seriously, you look amazing."

As they made their way to the cashier, they ran into a group of young fans. The girls were thrilled to see Virat and asked for selfies, which he gladly obliged. Aashna stood by, smiling at the scene.

"Your fans adore you," she remarked as they left the store.

Virat shrugged modestly. "They’re great. But today, I’m all yours."

They decided to take a break and grab some coffee. Sitting at a cozy corner table in a café, they chatted about their upcoming engagement and wedding plans.

"I can’t believe how quickly things are moving," Aashna said, sipping her cappuccino. "It feels like just yesterday we were getting to know each other."

Virat reached across the table, taking her hand in his. "Time flies when you’re with someone special. I can’t wait for all the moments we’re going to share."

Aashna smiled, feeling a warm rush of affection for him. "Me too, Virat. Me too."

Their quiet moment was interrupted by a message from Aashna’s brother, Abhishek.

**Abhishek:** "Hey, little sis. How’s the shopping going?"

Aashna quickly typed a reply.

**Aashna:** "Going great! We found our outfits. Can’t wait for you to see them."

Abhishek responded with a teasing message.

**Abhishek:** "Just remember, I’m watching you, Virat. Treat my sister like a queen."

Aashna showed Virat the message, and they both laughed. "Looks like Bhaiya is still in protective mode," she said.

Virat smirked. "And he should be. You deserve nothing less."

After their coffee break, they continued shopping, picking out shoes, accessories, and other essentials. The day flew by in a blur of laughter and playful banter. By the time they finished, they were both exhausted but happy.

As they made their way back to the car, Virat wrapped his arm around Aashna. "Today was fun. Exhausting, but fun."

Aashna leaned into him, feeling content. "It was. I can’t wait for the engagement. It’s going to be amazing."

Virat kissed the top of her head. "With you by my side, I know it will be."

As they drove home, they felt a deep sense of connection and excitement for the future. The engagement was just the beginning of their journey together, and they couldn’t wait to see where it would lead them.
