Things you need to know about Roxie Malfoy:

● She doesn’t look like a Malfoy (instead she has brown hair and brown eyes)

● She is the triplet sister to Draco and Sophia Malfoy

● She was adopted by Sirius Black when she was 12.

● She has a huge fat crush on Hermione Granger.

Roxie Malfoy has been in love with her sister’s best friend ever since 2nd year, but she has never been able to tell Hermione the truth. She tried ask her to the yule ball, but Hermione already had a date before she could ask. Now the girls were in 6th year and the crush only grew. Roxie had fallen head over heels for the muggleborn and she was too scared to do anything about it. So, Sophia decided to take it into her own hands. Since the start of the school year, Sophia has been helping Roxie building her confidence and trying to get Hermione to finally admit she liked Roxie.  And then on November 30th, Sophia finally succeeded.

Hermione was sitting in the garden after being left by Ron who went to make out with his girlfriend. Roxie came and sat next to her, with a massive blush on her face.  Hermione puts down her book and smiles sweetly at the other. “Hermione. I know you only know me as your best friend’s sister. But I like you a lot a-and I was w-wondering I-if you want t-to g-go o-on a date?” Roxie had stuttered out terrified. When Hermione took a while to answer, Roxie thought she was going to reject her so she got up and went to leave but then Hermione grabbed her hand “I would love to”

In the background a cheer could be heard from Sophia

And now it was the December Hogsmeade trip and time for Roxie and Hermione’s date.

“I’m scared, Soph. What if I mess everything? What if I ruin everything? What if I made her hate me? What is if I”

“Rox, breath. Now you aren’t going to ruin anyway. You are going to have an amazing day with the love of your life. Do you understand? Good now go. She’s waiting for you”

Roxie met Hermione at the front of Hogwarts doors, both were wrapped up nice and warm. They both stood in awkward silence for a few minutes, not knowing if they should hold hands or not. “Shall we set off?” Hermione eventually says to which Roxie nods and says “yes”. So, the pair walked together down to Hogsmeade, ignoring the fact they knew Sophia and Fred were watching them.

They first went round the shops. They went to Honeydukes. Roxie brought a chocolate bar to give to her younger siblings when they get back but neither Hermione nor Roxie wanted to something for themselves. They then went to the bookstore and Roxie watched Hermione buy a bunch of books. They then finished up in Three Broomsticks Inn. They both had lunch and a couple of milkshakes together. But they just sat silently and awkwardly. Neither knew what to actually do. Both of them were uncomfortable. Hermione just stared out of the window and Roxie just fidgeted with her hair. At the end of the meal, Roxie paid. They then slowly and silently walked back to the castle. No one said a word. They just walked in silence, refusing to look at each other. Well, that was until they were almost at the castle. Roxie just stopped dead and looked down causing Hermione to stop and look at her.

“Is something wrong, Roxie?”

“I'm sorry”

“For what Roxie? You have done nothing wrong”

“I have. I ruined our date. I did everything Sophia says happens on a date. I did what I see other people do on their dates everyday but ...... we had a horrible time. I ruined our date”

“Is that why we did all that stuff? Because that’s what other people do on a date?”

“yes”

“Rox, you don’t have to be just like everyone else”

“but”

“I like you just the way you are and nothing about you needs to change, especially for a date”

“y-you said you like me?”

“I do Roxie. I like you a lot”

“I like you to”

“I know you told me. Now we have a few hours before tea. Why don’t we go to the library and silently read together?”

“I would love that”

“let's go then”

So, the pair went to the library and silently read together. A few hours later, Sophia came to collect them for tea, only to find them holding hands while reading. “aww” she couldn’t help herself from saying which made the two blush and let go of hands. Hermione rolled her eyes before turning to Roxie “I would love to do this again sometime”. Roxie smiles and nods “Me to”. So many dates were planned.
