It was peaceful night, until Shasha and Milo woke up at three o'clock in the morning by a purple flashing light.
They looked out of their bedroom window and saw that the bright, glowing light was coming from Luca's lair, before looking at each other, knowing what this means.
"It's hybrid time! Feline fusion!", they both called out as they put their talismans together that allowed them to transform into the guardians.
Once the transformation was completed, they climbed out of their room and into the one next door to wake up their BFF Izzy as they would most definitely need her knowledge and skull when it comes to Lord Luca.
When the brunette girl had woken up, the guardians took her with them to Luca's lair and they transformed into cats to make the climbing and running quicker, whereas their human friend had to find a secret entrance in.
They had all managed to enter the secret hideout that was for guardians only, but was now ruled by the cats who have been possessed by the dark magic from the secret volt.
Shasha and Milo were now fighting the grey cats minions and the crystal warriors that he had unleashed, making them feel surrounded, until Izzy chucked one of Sundae's itching smoke bombs that had rolled over to her foot into the air, causing everyone's sight to be blinded by the purple mist.
"I can't see and I'm really itchy!", Milo complained as he was scratching his arm and ribs, "we need to get out of here, before the smoke clears!", his sister said cleverly.
The male guardian wrapped his arm around his sister shoulder and she did the same to his waist as they were both looking for a way out, when they saw the bright flashlight glowing in their sight from their friends tablet.
"Follow the light, it'll lead you to safety!", the brunette girl, who was now wearing a gas mask spoke clearly and she helped the guardians out of the lair just in time, before the smoke cleared up and they could hear Lord Luca yelling in fury.
They ran towards their houses and snuck their BFF back into her bedroom, "thanks for your help Izzy!", Shasha thanked her when they were in her room now, "no problem, that's what I'm here for!", she replied, before they left to get into their shared bedroom.
They detransformed back to their human selves within seconds and got back into bed, hoping to catch a few more hours of sleep before they had to wake up for school.
The pink haired girl instantly fell asleep, but her brother couldn't stop scratching himself ever since the itching smoke bomb event and it was making him uncomfortable to rest as he kept having the strong desire to scratch his skin all over.
The morning came quickly and Milo hadn't gotten a wink of sleep since three o'clock, unlike his twin sister, who was waking up to the morning light shining through the window.
"Good morning Milo! How did you sleep after last night's rescue?", Shasha questioned kindly, "not too well. I kept needing to scratch every part of my skin!", he replied honestly.
"Oh, that must have been awful, but hopefully it'll vanish after a few hours!", she spoke positively to raise her brothers spirits.
They both got out of bed to do their morning routine one at a time, before getting dressed into their normal clothes, but even after that, the boy still felt itchy as he was scratching his back and front.
They then walked downstairs and saw their uncle Leo making pancakes for breakfast in the kitchen, "good morning uncle!", Shasha greeted with a smile and he replied with a good morning as well.
"Morning uncle Leo!", Milo spoke, while he was scratching his back and ribs, "hi Milo! Is everything ok? You look really itchy and uncomfortable?", their relative questioned sympathetically.
