Summary: Nickel and Balloon go on their first date.

Nickel takes a deep breath as he waited for Balloon. This would be their first date as boyfriends! He didn't want to mess this up.

What could possibly go wrong? They were just going to an arcade. Restaurants seemed a bit too fancy for them, and Nickel had remember the suggestion Nicki had gave him.

"He's getting dressed up! You should take him to a restaurant- no, a... carnival? Actually... an arcade!" 

Nickel chuckles softly at the memory. Even though his cousins were not residing in the hotel anymore, he still keep in contact, and the three- his other cousin Nicks- facetime and chat often.

The door clicks open and Balloon steps out. There's really nothing noticable, except for the faint strawberry scent.

Nickel rolls his eyes. "You spent the whole time in there doing nothing?"

"No!" Balloon pouts, Nickel finding it cute. "I was gonna wear something, but I felt like I didn't really need to. I mean, it's just an arcade."

"I still think you look pretty." Nickel compliments and Balloon blushes.

"Awww... thank you!" Balloon leans slightly down and gives Nickel a soft peck on his cheek. "Anyways, let's go now!"

The two make their way to a surrounding city. It was around evening, and there were a lot of people who were returning for work or going out for dinner. Nickel, being the shortie he is, tries to go up to his tippy-toes to see if he can spot the place. No luck,

He sighs. "Come on, Balloon. Maybe we'll find a better way to see."

This time, they're able to see the sign for the arcade. It's huge with bright neon letters that flash in all sorts of colors. That's not safe...

The couple walks inside, and Nickel buys two cards for them... a bit harshly as normal. He was this close to shattering the peace.

"Alright, so what do ya wanna do first?" Nickel asks and Balloon looks around. He spots this two-player game where arrows are on the floor. Two objects dance on it, going against each other.

"How about Rythm Core?" Balloon suggests as he finally notice the sign.

Nickel raises his eyebrows and smirks at his boyfriend. "Sure thing! If you absolutely want to get crushed by me."

Balloon giggles. "I'm not so sure about that!"

192,832 to 2,763. Balloon got absolutely DESTROYED. His jaw comicall6 drops all the way to the floor.

"H-How are you this good?" Balloon aks, still in a dazed shock.

"I never skip leg day, since I've only got legs..." Nickel explains. "Plus... I used to play this a lot with Baseball."

Balloon raises his eyebrows at Nickel's embarrassment. "There's nothing to be embarrassed about! Heck, I should be embarrassed seeing how bad you beat me!"

Nickel laughs. "It's not about that... it's the songs that Baseball picked! I was practially dying from all the K-Pop."

Balloon giggles. "Well, why don't we play some other games?"

And they do. Balloon has a lot of fun playing the different arcade games. But, he mostly spent time watching Nickel break high scores and be in a competetive manner. He literally had to separate the short feisty object and a small kid. Oh, and also the man at the prize station.

They both leave a while after, Balloon holding a giant stuffed teddy bear while Nickel carries the rest of his prizes.

Balloon squeezes the teddy bear. "Today was amaing! Thank you for making our first date fun."

Nickel smiles back at him. "It's no problem! I'm just glad that nothing went wrong."

The two lean in for a kiss before Nickel suddenly gets hit by a car and is flung away far from Balloon. He instantly dies and-

Nah, I'm just playing with yall. They share a kiss and look into each other's eyes.

Today was perfect after all.
