Cora walked out of her bedroom the next morning after her alarm had gone off, walking into the main area to see Theo sleeping on the couch making her eyes widen as she remembered him staying over.
She turned her back to him, the turned to face him again, scratching her head as her eyes wondered awkwardly before they zeroed in on him again as he laid shirtless on the couch, the blanket only covering his bottom half.
His arm was lying over his head on the side of the couch as he laid on his back.
And without thinking, Cora moved over to him slowly, not knowing fully what she was doing or why. She didn't think about it either. She just did it.
And the next thing she knew, she was sitting down on the coffee table beside him, taking in every little detail of his face, her eyes trailing down his body of perfect, smooth skin and abs for days.
When her eyes found his face again, she stared at his freckles, his messy, light brown hair, his long eyelashes, but when Theo took in a deep breath, beginning to move, Cora shot up, hurrying away.
"Hey" he spoke sleepily making Cora freeze in her place, slowly turning to look at him
"Hey" she replied, awkwardly smiling at him.
"What r u doin?" Theo asked her as he sat up on the couch
"I uh..was coming to wake u up..to uh..to see if u wanted some breakfast before school" Cora answered, putting her hands on her hips
"But u we're walking away from me" Theo told her, furrowing his brows at her with a slight smile
"No I wasn't" she told him quickly, without thinking it through making Theos smile widen "I uh..I thought I heard a noise, so I turned..to uh..to see what it was"
"A noise" Theo repeated, raising his brows at her
"Mhm" Cora nodded with a firm nod. Theo chuckled slightly as he stood up off the couch
"Ok" he told her and Cora's eyes widened slightly
"Ok" she nodded awkwardly.
"If u got the ingredients for pancakes, I can make some for us" Theo told her, smiling down at her as he walked by her, brushing up against her making her freeze in her place, her heart racing in her chest.
"Ok" was all she could muster out.
Theo paused in his steps, turning to look at her as she turned, watching him walk again but not following
"U comin?" He asked her with a smile. Cora chuckled awkwardly
"Yeah. Yeah" she nodded, finally moving ahead of him and leading him to the kitchen. (Pause music)
Marisa sat at the kitchen island in Scott's house, staring down at some papers when Melisa walked in
"What r u doing here? Something happen?" She asked Marisa worriedly
"No." Marisa told her, holding her hands over her homework with the simple shake of her head. Melisa furrowed her brows, waiting for Marisa to continue and explain why she was there but she never did
"Ok" Melisa stated awkwardly, turning to the fridge
"How's Lydia?"
"She's gonna be fine. She just needs rest" Melisa told her with a smile as she pulled the milk from the fridge. "What uh..what r u working on there?"
"Homework. I didn't get the chance to do it yesterday. Usually Cora helps me with it because shes actually way smarter than she may seem, but she's not here so.."
"What is it?" Melisa asked her as she poured the milk into a cup of coffee
"Math. I hate math" Marisa answered with a sigh before taking a sip of her coffee
