It was the day of the licensing exam. We stood by the buses in our school uniforms, looking at the other students as they entered the building.
"Ugh... I'm getting kind of nervous." Jiro said.
"I wonder what they're gonna make us do. Ugh. What if I can't get my license?" Mineta said.
"Mineta. Don't ask if you can. Say you will." Dad said, bending down to Mineta's height.
"Right. Sure. I've so got this!" Mineta said as dad stood back up.
"If you can pass this test and get your provisional licenses, then you novice eggs will hatch into chicks. You'll be semi-pros. I expect your best."
"All right. I can't wait to be a heroic chicken." Kaminari said.
"Let's call out the usual, you guys. On my mark. Go Plus...Ultra!"
"Ultra!" Someone else, that was not in our class, said.
"Ya know, it's pretty rude to barge into other people's huddles like that, Inasa."
"What? Pardon me. I am... very... extremely... sorry!" The guy yelled before bowing so far, his head touched the floor.
"Who is this guy? I do not trust his enthusiasm." Kaminari said.
"Hey, look at their uniforms." Jiro said.
I took a closer look at their uniforms and saw that they were from Shiketsu.
"They're from that famous school on the other side of Japan." Sero said.
"UA in the east. Shiketsu in the west." Bakugo explained.
Then, Inasa got up again,
"I wanted to say it just once. Plus Ultra! See, I really love UA High School. I am extremely honored to compete against such incredible students. I'm so looking forward to it."
I guess he was because he started to bleed from his head.
"Oh. Blood." The girl from Shiketsu said. She was really pretty.
"Let's go." A purple haired guy said.
"Inasa Yoarashi."
"No way. That's him?!" I asked.
"Do you know him, Mr. Aizawa? You, too, Mai?"
"Yup. He's so strong."
"Indeed. He's strong. He's the same year as you all and received the second top scores for students admitted through recommendations. But for some unknown reason, he turned down his acceptance to UA and went to Shiketsu." Dad explained.
"Wait. He's... our age?" Zuku asked.
He then looked at Toki and I. I could tell what he was thinking, so I answered his question.
"I don't know about Toki, but I received the top scores." I whispered, making sure no one heard us.
"Oh, that makes sense." He whispered, nodding his head before turning back to Dad.
