Yoongi didn't care for events. He hated coming to them. But he had lost a bet with Tae and now he was here, walking away from a billionaire. He didn't care for Jungkook either. Couldn't see the appeal. He was only teasing for fun. He'd forget this all after he was drunk. He'd forget about all the candles.
Taehyung caught his arm while he was trying to escape. "Yoongi! Oh my god I missed you! I just saw this really hot guy--"
"I saw you five minutes ago, calm down. And who the hell are you talking about?" He pushed his best friends arm off, but he just came right back, all smiley and happy.
"This guy over there, I think he's a producer or a musician, help me talk to him!" He whined.
"No, why would I help you?"
"I'll let you leave early?" He suggests, a big smile on his face.
"Where is he?" He sighed, looking around for the man.
"There." Taehyung pointed, landing on a man with an all-black suit and red hair. Yoongi saw him talking with another taller man with dark curly hair. He recognized the second man, Han Jisung a famous musician.
"Ah. I see, let's go then." Yoongi started to pull him towards the man, but Taehyung tugged on his sleeve he wanted a plan, a prompt or something but Yoongi was dragging him in blind like he had dragged Yoongi to this stupid art show. "Come on, I'll lead, you follow."
The man looked up as we walked over, his eyes immediately landing on Taehyung. "Why hello, and who are you two handsome boys?" He smiles, making Tae weak for a moment. Glad he was holding onto the older.
Jisung looked at me. "Yoongi. I've heard about you."
"How?" Yoongi asked with a frown. He's not a popular man, not known for many things and not a singer, unlike Minho. Taehyung simply smiled. "This is Taehyung, and who are you?"
The man smirks, and takes Taehyung's hand and kisses it. Yoongi rolled his eyes. "My name is Lee Minho."
"I'll leave you to it, Tae Tae." He patted the boy's shoulder and walked off, ignoring Jisung's stares. How did his know my name? Yoongi didn't want to think about it and grabbed another drink. He decided to finish this before leaving.
He found a balcony above everything and leaned against the rails, candles glowing around him, flickering n his eyes. He watched Jimin at his art stand, smiling and selling art. He didn't need the other boys here; he was doing perfectly fine on his own. Felix was talking to a man in black, Jungkook's guard. But where was Jungkook?
He felt a pair on eyes on him and looked at the stairs. There he was hair pulled back and in an all-black suit. His piercing's glittered in the light, and his cold eyes were set on yoongi. He smiled and waved a little wave. he should be focused on the event, not some loner. He rolled his eyes and looked away.
The candles winked at Yoongi, glowing softly and smelling of lavender. Yoongi reached out, feeling the heat on his hand and seeing the scars on his skin shift in the light, shadows running across the raised lines. Yoongi wanted to touch the flame--
Someone grabbed his shoulder. Yoongi spun, dropping his glass out of surprise. It shattered on the floor, causing his heart to drop as he looked up at the person.
Jungkook, of course who was now looking down at his alcohol-soaked shoes and pants. "Uhm, I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you--"
"You are stalking me now?" Yoongi grabbed a decorative cloth off the rail and started to gather the broken glass pieces. He winced as the glass cut into his skin, Jungkook crouched next to him helping.
"No, I just came to ask for your number."
"My number? Why?" He scoffed, wrapping the glass up and putting it on a table next to the candles.
Jungkook stood as well, putting his hands in his pockets, chest broad. "I want to take you out, somewhere nice. Get you flowers, the whole thing" He shrugged.
Yoongi raised a brow and leaned against the balcony rail. "Really? I'm surprised pretty boy. I didn't think you were the type."
"And who do you think I am?" Jungkook sighed, leaning against the rail as well.
Yoongi wrinkled his nose, looking at him. "At a glimpse...you seem arrogant, a recluse and you take things too fast." He crossed his arms with a triumphant smile.
"Wow." Jungkook smiled and looked at the ground. "You aren't half wrong. But taking things too fast? I strongly disagree, I don't expect much, just a nice meal, maybe it leads to more you never know. You don't seem the type to take it too fast."
"And what do I seem like? Do enlighten me, Mr. Jeon." Yoongi was already eyeing the door, ready to call an uber and go home to his dog. He missed his dog.
"At a glimpse?" Jungkook stepped closer. "Grumpy, sassy, alcoholic."
"Alcoholic?" Yoongi gasped. "I could never, now if you'll excuse me, I want to go home." He pushed Jungkook away before going down the stairs. He didn't take what Jungkook had said to heart, he just needed an escape.
"Oh, come on." Jungkook ran down the stairs after him and grabbed his arm, Yoongi's sleeve riding up his arm.
Yoongi yanked his arm out of JK's reach. "I'll see you around, Mr. Jeon."
Yoongi walks away, seeing Jimin eyeing him from his stand. Which he cannot leave, Yoongi was thankful for this and gave him a small wave before leaving out into the night to call a uber.
