Isabella:

I did it. I texted him. Someone please, take my phone away and throw it as far away from me as possible, and while you're at it, dig me a grave.

I was so proud of ignoring him for three straight days. But it was too damn much. Too much of stirring under my skin, since the moment he left. I half expected him to show up again all those days.

He didn't.

I should've been happy, or maybe I was. But it's too agonising to not know what's going on his head. As much as I didn't want to be privy to whatever that twisted mind of his stores, I needed to know.

Whatever game he was playing I wanted in on it now. I can't let him surprise me anymore. We need to talk.

I just told him to meet me, he read the text, it's been exactly 14 minutes...15 now. And he didn't reply.

He read it immediately, how long does it take to just... say something.

Frustrating, his whole existence that is. Every fucking thing about him.

The dots finally appear, indicating that he is typing. No, I am not nervous or anything. I almost feel like deleting the text and pretending it never happened. Of course he will never let me.

Come on, I won't run, it won't work with him anyway.

After some excruciating seconds he finally texted, "Where?"

I take a deep calming breath; I am really doing this. I have to, I don't want him to take me unexpectedly anymore. I should've some rein in whatever the fuck is going on.

I looked around my surrounding, I texted him to meet me near the Hudson bank on the pier, Marci once told me about it how she spent some time with Maddox here while hiding from Uncle. Although, there is still a chance that we could get caught, this was all I could come up with at the moment, I don't want him near my college because that would involve my guards too soon.

It's slowly getting dark, I had to convince my bodyguard that I am with Valerio. I really hope he doesn't tells Dad. Although I have to pray if someone asks Val about it, he can just make an excuse for me. I have made many for him while he used to sneak out the house when he still lived with his parents, it's time he returns the favour.

The wind felt cold and eerie. It wasn't really because of the air but more importantly who I am about to meet.

Maybe he won't come, it's not like he has to. It's dangerous for him anyway. For all he knows I could just be trying to trap him.

I crossed the big metal gate, to my surprise, it was open and I didn't have to try a trick or a try to climb the fence like I prepared to. Glancing on my back once again, my hands on my guns tightened, I haven't let them loose since the moment I stepped outside the house.

There were dim lights pouring out on the lawn from the lamps, but it all still looked dark. The only sound was of water. I swallowed hard and treaded carefully further inside.

After walking for a while, a dark figure finally caught my eyes, I froze for a second. I can still run, right?

His head turned towards me, his balaclava was pulled over his head, revealing his face, though covered in shadows. From a look you could not see who it was, yet I knew it was him. At this point I don't even need to see him to know he is here.
