Yuri's POV:

As I ran outside the elevator, everyone was walking towards me, looking concerned "Babe are you okay?" Kat asked engulfing me into a tight hug.

"Don't worry Kat, I'm fine now." I said, hugging her back.

"You better take some rest Rii." Alex said and Matt nodded in agreement.

"Yeah!"

Soon everyone left for their respective works they were given and the elders walked towards their rooms.
The hallway became silent and only mine and his footsteps echoed all around.

"I know you hate me, but-" He said in a hesitant voice, breaking the silence.

"Yeah, I do." I cut him off. "But our bestfriend's is getting married and I don't want to ruin it for her. For their sake and their wedding, don't talk to me, Ash. Just stay away from me, please." I turned around and finally faced him. "I can't stand looking at you right now. Don't try talking to me, don't try fixing things, just don't. Just leave me alone and thank you for taking care of my attack in the elevator." I walked from there and headed towards my room, checking my keycard.

"Pearlie, please give me a chance to explain." He followed behind me.

I halted for a moment and turned to face him, "give a chance to you? Are you kidding me? You don't deserve a chance Ash Miller. And why should I give a fucking chance when everything you did on your own will?
You left me right away and wrote me a letter. You caused me so much hurt even though you never wanted that, right? So why should I give another chance when I know you'll leave me again, you'll hurt -"

"I didn't wanted to leave you back then but I knew I would have kept on hurting you so I decided to walk away. I wanted to become a better person for you, Pearlie, not a person with fucked up brain and fucked up life. I promise not to leave you in any circumstances from now on, just trust me once." He interrupted me with his explanations.

"I hate you Ash, you won't ever understand what I've gone through all these years. All i know is you're a fucking lier and a very good manipulator." I hiss in anger as tears started running down my cheeks.

I wiped off my tears and shook my head softly. "I'm not doing this. I'm not ruining this wedding for Kat and Matt or for myself. I want nothing to do with you, Ash."

"You'll forgive me one day. I know my princess." He sighed softly.

I looked at him and I guess what he said is true but I won't forgive him that easily. I hate him and that's what I know for now and I am not doing anything to ruin their wedding. "You don't know me anymore, Ash Miller!"

"Let's see." He said.

"Let's see." I replied back.

"Okay."

"Okay."

I scoffed again and turned around, walking into my room and slammed the door shut, leaning against it, taking a very shaky breath. I stared at the carpeted floor, thinking. About him, about myself, about us, what we used to be.

What happened? How did we let it all go so quickly?

When I took in another breath and it came out as a sniffle, I realized a few tears had slipped. I forced out a scoff and wiped my cheeks.

What's gone is gone. And there's no point regretting or mourning it.

He looked different now. So different. He'd always been tall but he'd gotten so much taller. Or maybe I didn't grow at all. I barely grew a couple of inches, now sitting at five foot six, but he grew and grew. From six-foot to now probably six-foot two. He'd gotten bigger, more muscular. His shirt fitted on him tightly, hugging his arms, chest, and broad shoulders. The black fitted full-sleeve v-neck looked good on him. His eyes were still as brown as ever, they would always light up under the sun. His dimples were still there.
I'm lucky I get to see them even when he isn't smiling since that's how deep they are. They're usually visible when he talks.

His hair looked different but it was always changing back then too. For a while he had long and shabby hair following over his forehead, brushing against his eyes and I loved them. Then he used to cut it up when his hair grew longer. But today his hair looked the way I had always loved.

I sat on the foot of the bed and kicked my heels off, throwing my backpack onto one of the two seats near the coffee table that was right in front of the balcony. I stood up, looking through the glass door. "Whoa," I mumbled, staring at the beach view.

One had a clear view of the waves, the sun glistening on the surface of the water, the people running up and down the beach, the lifeguards on watch too. There were people swimming, some tanning, some having a picnic. It looked fun.

I went back to the bed and lay down with a sigh. I kicked my shoes off, shrugged the cardigan off, threw it onto the chair, and pulled my hair up into a bun that I could sleep in. I wasn't sleepy but I planned on staying in bed, so I was more than likely to fall asleep anyway.

***
I woke up much later, but God knows what time it was, to my phone ringing on the nightstand. I blindly reached for it and answered the call without reading the ID. "Hello?"

"I figured you were sleeping, that's why I called," Kat scoffed.

Then the line went silent. I was falling back asleep when Matt's voice flooded my ears.
"Okay uh, Kat just went to get ready but she told me to tell you that dinner is in an hour so you should probably freshen up."

"Huhh?"

"Dinner."

"Hmm?"

"Riiii!"

My friends started calling me Rii from our second year of graduation.

My eyes snapped open. "What?!"

"Dinner. In an hour. There's an outdoor restaurant at the back of the hotel, it's dining by the beach. We have a table booked there. Be there in one hour, okay?"

"Yeah, yeah, okay. I hear you."

"All right. Bye."

"Bye." I got out of bed with a soft groan and went into the bathroom. I started off by freshening up, brushing my teeth, splashing some water on my face, and letting my hair down. Then I walked to my suitcase, looking for a dress to wear.

I decided on a semi-formal, black mock-neck tank top and a mini skirt. I matched white sandals with the dress and laid my clothes out on the bed before grabbing some makeup and going back into the bathroom. I put on a little bit of makeup, not too much.
Some concealer, some blush, some lipgloss, and lots of mascara to make my oceanic blue eyes pop. And a little bit of highlighter so my skin was glowing. I zipped up the makeup bag, leaving it on the bathroom counter, and then went back out.

I changed out of my clothes and into the dress before looking at my hair. I smoothed down my hair on my head, leaving then open behind, and then went back out, put on my sandals. I grabbed my phone, shoved the keycard into my phone case, and then headed out.
