Ash's POV:
"Ash," I heard a whisper. Then blissful silence for a mere second. "Ash." A little louder this time. "Ash," Yuri groaned. My eyes fluttered before I squinted them open, looking at her. She was standing next to the bed on my side, her arms folded across her chest. "Hello," Pearlie sang, nudging my torso with her knee before keeping one knee on the bed, holding herself up. "Get up, come on. Breakfast is being served downstairs, everybody's already there."
"I don't want breakfast," I mumbled, taking her pillow and putting it over my head.
"We're leaving right after breakfast and we're not stopping for lunch until we're done with Kat's wedding dress shopping. I'm sure you know how long that's going to take. Come on, get up."
I hummed, still not moving.
"Ash," she huffed, shaking me up.
I let out a grunt before sitting up. "Fiiiine... But if I find coffee downstairs I'll consider forgiving you for waking me up."
I stood up and stretched my back, letting out a loud yawn. I was wearing a white shirt with the sleeves rolled up to my elbows, a pair of black sweatpants, and a pair of house slippers, my hair a mess.
"I'll take a quick shower then. Just make sure there's actually coffee downstairs." I took a white towel, which was folded on the chair next to the bed, and started walking to the bathroom.
After a couple of minutes, I came out of the bathroom, wearing a pair of jeans and a black t-shirt, my hair still wet. I sat back on the bed and started to put on a pair of black leather shoes.
"So, how long is this wedding dress shopping gonna take?" I asked with a yawn as I finished tying my shoes. I stood up and made my way to the door, ready to head to the kitchen.
She took a deep breath, trying to push away the embarrassing moment from her mind. "I'm not sure," she said, collecting herself. "Maybe a few hours? It depends on how much time it takes to find the right dress."
I let out a groan at the thought of waiting for hours while Katherine tried on dress after dress. I was not looking forward to this, but I didn't really have a choice.
"Can't wait to be sitting in a chair doing nothing for hours while she decides which dress she hates less. It would probably be better for my sanity to drink a fifth of vodka right now." I said jokingly.
She chuckled, amused by my exaggerated complaints. "Oh, come on, you'll survive," she teased. "Just think of it as entertainment. You can give your expert opinion on which dress looks best on me."
I couldn't help but roll my eyes at her response. "Yeah, because my opinion on dresses will be oh so valuable. I'll just nod and say 'yeah, that looks great' as she tries on each dress. It'll be thrilling, I'm sure." I said sarcastically as I chuckled.
"Alright, come on, let's go," Yuri said, grabbing my arm and pulling me towards the door. "No more complaining. We've got a dress to find, and you're coming with us."
"Alright, alright, I'm coming. No need to drag me." I said with a slight chuckle as I let she pull me out of the room.
We started walking down the hallway until we made it to the dining table. The aroma of freshly cooked bacon and eggs filled the air, making my stomach grumble. I walked towards the coffee pot, quickly pouring myself a steaming hot cup of caffeine and then made my way to an empty seat at the dining table and sat down. I took a sip of my coffee, savoring the rich flavor. Then I began to reach for some bacon and eggs, loading up my plate with breakfast food.
Yuri took a seat next to me, preparing herself a plate of food as well. Once she was seated, I took a spoonful of eggs and stuffed them into my mouth, chewing slowly.
