Ash's POV:
It was getting late now and while some of us were still at the table talking and having some drinks, the others had left.
Georgia, Ava, and Anne were all sent up to their rooms. Apparently, minors can't be at the table even though they can't drink. Matt's grandparents are gone too. Some of the aunts and uncles left a few minutes ago with Matt's and Katherine's parents.
Now, it's just Matt, Katherine, Alex, Leena, Yuri, Sofia, Maria and me. "Should we all call it a night too?" Kat asked.
Alex shrugged and finished the little bit that was left of his last drink before mumbling, "Goodnight, everyone," and then got up leaving with his girlfriend.
"Let's go, baby," Matt said, standing up with his hand in Katherine's. He seemed a little tipsy, to be honest, judging from his expression and the way he's been clinging onto Katherine. They left as well, rocking their locked hands back and forth while doing so.
"I guess we should call it a night too," Yuri said, looking between Sofia, Maria and me.
"Yes, I'm feeling sleepy guys." Sofia stood up from her seat saying "Goodnight everyone," and walked inside her hotel.
"Goodnight, Sofia." Yuri and I said at the same time.
"I'm still down for a few more drinks if you are," Maria shrugged and then glanced at Pearlie. "You don't have to stay if you don't want to."
I watched Pearlie for a minute before opening her mouth to say something but I think she never got to.
"Actually, I'm sharing a room with someone," I cut in, standing up. "I don't have the keys either and I would hate to wake them up to get the door. So, maybe we can get drinks later, Maria." I lied, i already had the keys to myself but the anger on Pearlie's face was rising with every passing second which wasn't a good thing for me, at least when we both have to share the same room. "It's almost midnight anyway and you have to go to your hotel too." I glanced at Pearlie before offering Maria a small smile.
She nodded, "All right. We should catch up tomorrow, it's been an awfully long time since I last saw you."
I hummed, pushing my chair in and then looking at Yuri. "Are you coming?"
She nodded wordlessly and stood up, pushing the chair in as she rounded the table.
"Bye," Maria called out.
"Goodnight," I replied, walking ahead of me.
I watched Pearlie glaring at the back of her head, muttering, "Bitch," under her breath before facing forward and catching up to me.
We stepped into the elevator together and as the doors closed, she turned to look at me. I knew she was staring and without looking at her asked, "What?"
"Don't you two seem cozy," she scoffed softly.
"What?" I turned to her, fighting against my laugh because the smell of jealousy was in the air.
"You and Maria," she said.
"Maria? I haven't seen her since the last time you saw her, Yuri. I don't know how cozy we could possibly be."
"You two seem pretty cozy to me."
"She's a guest for the wedding and our friend too. What do you want me to do?"
She shrugged looking towards the door of the elevator, "She might be your friend not mine, and what you can do is maybe not flirt with her."
Her face!! It's taking alot for me to stop laughing. She's getting jealous because of Maria, my Pearlie is getting jealous because of another women? That's funny! But my princess it has always been you since I met you and no one can take your place but I really would love to play this game until you yourself don't accept that you miss me like I miss you.
