Devendra's Pov -

After five months

I felt someone tapping my shoulder lightly as I was sleeping, but I was in such a deep sleep that I ignored it.

"Dev," I heard a faint voice as someone tapped my shoulder again.

"Dev."

I thought I was dreaming because I was in a very deel sleep, but the next moment, my illusion was shattered because I felt a high-pitched voice near my ear, "Devvvvvvvv!"

I opened my eyes to see Devyani sitting beside me, glaring at me.

"Biwi, are you trying to kill me? Who wakes someone up by shouting like that?" I asked her, still groggy.

"I shouted? I've been trying to wake you gently for the past ten minutes. Par aap to Ghode bech ke sone me lage hue hai," she replied, rolling her eyes at me.

(But you were sleeping like a log)

I rubbed my eyes and sat up, trying to shake off the remnants of sleep. "Okay, okay. I'm up now. What's the matter?" I asked.

She grinned, and I immediately knew what was coming.

"I'm hungry. I want to eat ice cream," she said, giving me her puppy dog eyes.

"You're hungry? Biwi, just two hours ago you said you were hungry and you were craving for Maggie, so I made it for you."

"And now you are hungry again. Bhai tum itni bhukh laa kaha se rahi ho apne andar."

"Badi bhukkad ho gayi ho yaar tum, Biwi," I teased her.

(Where are you getting all this hunger from? You've become quite the foodie)

She pouted playfully. "It's not my fault. The babies are making me hungry all the time. And right now, they want ice cream."

I couldn't help but laugh at her answer.

"Alright, ice cream it is. Any particular flavor for the royal cravings?" I asked.

"Chocolate," she said with a wide smile. "And maybe some sprinkles too?"

I shook my head, still smiling. "Anything for you and the twins," I said, picking up my phone to order the ice cream for her.

"No," she said, snatching the phone away from my hand.

I looked at her, confused.

"If I wanted to order it, I could have done that myself," she said in a duh tone.

"Then what do you want? Do you expect me to make ice cream for you at 3 a.m.?" I asked.

"That's a nice idea actually, but I know that's a bit much to ask," she replied with a mischievous grin.

I chuckled, shaking my head.

"Alright then, what's the plan, boss?" I said.

She leaned in closer, her eyes twinkling with excitement. "I want us to go out and get it. There's that 24-hour ice cream parlor a few blocks away. It'll be fun, like an adventure."

"An adventure, huh? At 3 a.m. biwi, seriosuly?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

She nodded enthusiastically.

"Yes, it'll be romantic. Just you, me, and our little midnight ice cream adventure."

"And before you even think about saying no, let me remind you, if you don't take me and satisfy my midnight snack craving, then you won't be getting your midnight snack either," she said, giving me a pointed look.
