3rd Person POV
The day that Toto had found out about Max and Y/n's relationship he was understandably very angry about it, infuriated in fact.
Toto thumped back into the hotel room and Susie looked over at the irate man who had also left around 20 before without any explanation. He just shouted 'Absolutely no fucking way!' And stormed out without telling her a thing.
"And what was that about?" She asked walking up to him with her hands on her hips as she prepared to berate her husband.
"Y/n is dating-" Toto began while pinching the bridge of his nose before saying it, the thought of it made him grimace.
"Dating..?" Susie said with her hands still on her hips and her lips pursed while her brows frowned.
"Max fucking Verstappen." He grumbled. She sighed and shook her head as he frowned at the name.
"Jesus Christ, Toto." She huffed, growing fed up of his incessant whining about Max. "You need to get a hold of yourself." He frowned at her statement as she pointed an angry finger toward her husband. "He's 26! That's half your age, stop being so childish and be happy for your daughter!" She said sternly before continuing. "That girl doesn't have a mother anymore, she just has you! So when you go charging around everywhere and are constantly complaining about her boyfriend, is it any wonder she doesn't tell you about him?" Toto looked down away from his wife in shame he knew she was right and that he was going to have to come to terms with Y/n dating Max.
"But-" He began and Susie held her finger to his lips and shushed him.
"There are no buts, stop acting like a child." She shook her head before walking away.
But being the way he was Toto decided not to accept their relationship and was not willing to so either, and to Susie's dismay he didn't stop complaining about Max.
Susie often berated him about the fact he was going to have to accept Y/n and Max. Often throwing hypothetical scenarios at him like: 'what if they have a child together?' or 'what if they get married?' and every single time without fail Toto would come up with a stupid answer and Susie would give up.
Then that day did come and one of Susie's hypothetical scenarios wasn't so hypothetical anymore. When he told Susie that she was pregnant she couldn't have been happier for them and neither could Toto but he still couldn't accept them as a couple.
Guaranteed he had said sorry to his daughter but really, deep down inside him, he still despised Max's guts.
Then it was the winter break Y/n was around halfway through her pregnancy and Max had two things on his mind. Number one, the baby and number two, if they were having a child should they be engaged or not.
