Jean and the others all looked around at each other.Eren...left?
He left with you? That was odd.
"But...but why?" Jean muttered, not asking anyone in particular but asking himself.
Could they have a good reason for leaving? Why hadn't Eren told us? And in such a rush and sudden way!
He mumbled your name then Eren's. Jean thought hard about it, but he couldn't come up with any good reason for the two of them leaving suddenly like that.
He looked around.
"We're leaving tonight, everyone look for those two, we meet at dock!" Levi frowned as he gave the orders.
Jean and the others all nodded. It was sudden but they understood that they had to leave as soon as possible. They had to find you and Eren, and had very little time.
Everyone started searching, looking for you and Eren. Jean was looking around, trying to find any trace of you two.
Did they really leave with a purpose? Or did they leave because they just wanted to be alone?
_______
Jean boarded the ship with the rest of the group. But Eren and you...were nowhere to be seen.
What is going on? something feels off.
Jean wanted to ask his friends what they thought, but he didn't want to risk giving them ideas. He knew that you and Eren had to be somewhere in the island they had all just left. He refused to believe they'd leave to another place without telling them, without telling him. They were friends, and they wouldn't just abandon them.
But where could they be? And why wouldn't they tell him or the others?
________
A week later....
Everyone was back in Paradis, specifically they all surrounded around Levi as he opened the letter Eren had sent them.
A letter? That was unexpected...
Levi opened it up and read it silently to himself. What did Eren have to say? What reason could he have for leaving suddenly?
Are you and Eren okay?
Why didn't he tell the scouts where they were going?
Levi sighed as he dropped the letter back into the table, "Eren is leaving our futures up to Zeke."
Jean was surprised by what Levi had just announced. Eren was leaving their futures up to Zeke? What did he mean by that? He wondered what the letter actually said.
"Leaving our futures up to Zeke...what the hell does that even mean?" Jean said as he felt himself grow with irritation.
He knew Zeke had a different agenda. Something they didn't agree with, something that Eren didn't agree with.
"It means, Zeke will be deciding what to do."
Jean was still focused on the letter. He wanted to read it for himself. He wanted to see what Eren had to say. But for now there was no time. This all sounded sketchy to him. Jean was getting worried. But he couldn't think about that.
He had to ask.
"Levi...where is she?"
Everyone around the room turned to look at Jean. He was the first to mention you.
