Jean felt his heartbeat as he was led inside the cell. He was pushed into the room, but he could not get out.

Mikasa and Armin had not been seen since the restaurant, and the Jeagerists had kept Jean and the rest of the scouts locked in a cell.

But he was not just thinking of Mikasa and Armin. He was thinking of you too.

He had considered you his close friend. He doesn't forget the little trio, you, him and Marco had. Back then he wouldn't have called it a trio. He didn't like how close you were to Marco. How you always spoke so low of him to Marco. He felt like you were trying to steal his friend.

When he died, you and him were a mess. Since then, you two were closer. Having known Marco would have wanted both of you to become friends.

But that's all gone now. You betrayed them. He felt his heart ache as he remembered the way you had walked away without looking back.

"God. I can't believe it." Connie grumbled, shaking his head in anger.

"She knew of that spinal fluid. She cuffed you, she aimed her gun at you!"

Jean closed his eyes and took a deep breath.

Was it true? It felt like the world had been flipped upside down. You had done all that? Of course you did. He was the victim to it all.

He could feel his emotions boiling down inside. Did it matter anymore if you were on Eren's side? You had betrayed him and his team, and he could not forgive you.

"...do you still care for her?" Connie whispered, his eyes low.

Jean thought about the question.

Was he still attached to you?

No. It didn't matter. You had chosen Eren, and betrayed his trust.

He wanted nothing more with you now that you had done him wrong. Jean felt the weight of your betrayal. He could not care for you anymore.

"No." Jean said, with a hard face. "Does it even matter? She chose Eren over us. I don't care for her anymore."

"Is that what bothers you? Or do you mean she chose Eren...over you."

Jean looked to Connie, and he felt a slight stab in his heart. Did Connie know? Did he know that Jean had been attracted to you?

He didn't want Connie to know, but he couldn't deny the truth.

"I don't know why." Jean sighed. "It might have to do with both. But she chose Eren instead of us. That's enough for me to forget her."

Grunts echoed throughout the hall, it was Armin and Mikasa.

Jean felt a rush of relief come over him. Mikasa and Armin had been found. They were now entering the cell.

He saw you, the traitor, pushing them into the cell. Jean looked towards Mikasa and Armin, two friends that had been loyal to him. He was relieved to see them. At least they had not abandoned him for Eren.

Jean watched you lock the door, and he felt his heart sink once more.

Did you care so little for your friends that you could betray them like this? Jean felt his heart break at the sight of you doing this. He was disappointed in himself for not seeing this coming.

He had made a mistake in trusting you too much, but he could not allow himself to do that again.

Jean would not forget this act of betrayal.

Jean saw you turn to leave after locking them into the cell, and he felt anger and frustration bubble inside him. Why were you acting like this? You had betrayed them.
