Jean and Connie simply watched as you got up and left. You seemed unbothered by Eren's speech. You never even showed any hesitation or doubt in your face.

Was this planned? Had you known of Eren's plan? Had you planned to betray Eldia from the start?

Connie turned to Jean, teeth gritting. "Damn it. She knew Jean. She used our help knowing that the euthanization plan was all bullshit. Eren's real plan was the rumbling, he started it."

"You're right..." Jean replied, his expression darkening. They had been used by you, who knew all along of Eren's real plan. You had been planning to betray Eldia from the start. Now, Eren had begun the rumbling, and it would not be stopped. The death of millions was coming, and there was nothing they could do to stop it.

"We need to find Armin and Mikasa." Connie said, fixing his odm gear and taking off.

"Agreed." Jean chimed in and followed Connie with his own odm gear. They had to find Armin and Mikasa, and then try to come up with a plan to try to stop Eren. But how could they do that?

Mikasa and Armin looked over towards Jean, Connie and the unconscious boy that Connie had brought. Jean was bandaging the boy's mouth.

"It's over. Maniac or not, I never thought Eren would slaughter everyone who lives outside the walls. But when he's done, everyone who hates us will be dead. The entire outside world was a threat to our existence. And now it's going to be trampled flat." Jean said, his tone holding no emotion as he looked up locking eyes with his friends.

"These people called us island devils, said we'd kill them all unless they killed us first. We became what they thought we were and we're doing what they feared we'd do. Because we have to. In the end, it's on them. This is only happening because the world picked a fight and lost. There wasn't anything that we could have done differently, was there?" Jean spoke these words, his eyes looking at the Colosal Titans heading away along with Eren's Founder Titan.

"But, even so. Eren is going too far. He's committing genocide against the world." Armin said eyes lowered.

"Well then, what should we do? Should we stop him? Think on it. Eren tricked Zeke into castrating us all with his euthanization plan. And Historia could have taken the founder, but Eren opposed that cause it would've cost her life. He did this for his friends." Jean's eyes widened just a bit at the realization you were doing this whole act for the same reason.

"Eren wants to protect us even if it means killing everyone else on the planet. He's doing something more horrible than we could imagine for our sakes." He finished.

There was a moment of silence, until a loud explosion was heard.

"What was that?" Armin said, looking towards the ruckus. Watching as the Military Police that were turned into titans grabbed hold of the soldiers. "Did all the Marleyan Troops get eaten? But why? Eren's using the founders power, he should have total control over all these titans!"

"Who cares why?" Jean replied. "Let's go help them!" He said, all while holding the boy onto his side.

"Jean wait!" Mikasa interrupted, "What will you do with the kid?" Jean looked towards the boy on his side. "I don't know, but when he turned I think he ate the Jaw Titan.
